All the staff , right through from Reception staff , Pre assessment staff , all vision test : eye diagnostic staff , Optometrist and of course the skilled surgeon and his team at the final stage of surgery were simply first class . The after care was equally professional. The information provided via text, email and the Spa Medica Booklets were so helpful and answered all my questions and reduced any anxiety . I would highly recommend having Cataracts removed at this practice.

This visit was my second cataract procedure at this clinic. After the first procedure back in September 2024 I would most have certainly recommended this clinic however my second procedure in March 2025 was very stressful and now my opinion has changed. Without consultation the procedure was carried out by someone who was being instructed by another doctor, the consequences of this experience left me very anxious. A totally different procedure was experienced by myself.

I attended for my cataract assessment just 2 weeks ago and had my cataract procedure on Saturday 15.03.25. Everyone I come into contact with was very kind and professional. The process from referral to procedure was very smooth. Very convenient to have this clinic in Colchester. Thank you to everyone at Spamedica.

The Spa Medica clinic in Colchester Is well organised, adequately staffed and above all very clean throughout. All the staff, from cleaners to consultants and surgeons, were friendly and welcoming. Although the clinic was quite busy at the time of my visit all patients were seen in what appeared to be in the right order. Information given to me at the clinic was clear and understandable as was signage throughout the building. I look forward to returning in a few weeks' time for my check-up and hopefully soon after that having the same procedure on my other eye.

From the moment we walked through the door right up until we left the service and experience was impeccable. Everything was explained clearly and all staff were very reassuring. Highly recommended

The whole experience was great. The staff were lovely, very polite, very helpful and reassuring. I was even offered tea and biscuits! I was dealt with professionally and with care, the nurse held my hand during the procedure. The clinic is well run, clean and efficient. I would recommend this clinic totally

This was such a pleasant experience for my first eye operation. Such a friendly reception offering drinks. All the surgical staff were amazing and so kind. the surgeon told me exactly what to expect and told me what he was doing throughout the procedure. Cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and after a few days have my sight restored with no pain. Thank you

I went there for surgery,from the minute I arrived I was made to feel very relaxed from the receptionist to the nurses. Then when I went in for surgery the nurse and the surgeon talked me through the whole procedure. The place was very clean and tidy and I was in and out with in 3 hours. Thanks for all you do here.

From collection by SpaMedicare transport to care at Colchester hospital I couldn't have had a better experience. Everything was explained by the kindest of nurses and I felt respected and valued at every point. Each staff member was efficient and courteous and I felt completely confident in their hands. I shall have no concerns whatsoever when I return for my second cataract surgery.
