Very professional and friendly staff. I was pleased with the Cataract surgery received and actually looking forward to returning to have the other eye treated. All areas of the building were spotlessly clean as would be expected.

The staff from receptionists through to the surgeons are all very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I was very nervous about having the surgery but they put you at ease by talking you through every step.

This was my second cataract procedure at Colchester, the first having gone extremely well. All of the staff were friendly, smiling and reassuring. I felt confident in their care. I was impressed by the theatre set up and the efficiency of the staff and surgeon. The procedure was quick and painless. Everything was explained clearly. The results are amazing!

This is now the second cataract procedure I have had here and I can't fault you on any way. The service provided was excellent. I felt looked after at all times, they explained each step slowly so I was able to understand everything and made sure I was OK before I left. I needed a cataract removing and visited the Chelmsford SpaMedica for assessment. As my daughters wedding was upcoming they referred me to Colchester for a quicker appointment. 8 days later I had the procedure. Everyone was friendly and efficient and 4 hours later I was heading home.

I left a review after my friend had her first cateract done. My friend has now had her second cateract done and the all the staff, this time were extremely caring and approachable. Unlike last time, when one in particular was very off hand and brusque, but this time it was very different. Whether my review had any bearing on this change or not I don't know but the whole experience for my friend was much more pleasant. So thank you to all concerned.

I had an excellent experience when I had my cataract removed. The speed of receiving my initial appointment was amazingly fast and then I was booked for the removal a week later. All in, it was a very painless experience and I was well looked after by throughout the process

Rather long and seemingly unnecessary waiting in between tests, otherwise, apart from one member of staff, everyone very nice, helpful and made you feel at ease. The member of staff that didn't fit this profile, the lady who did the eye tests before seeing the Optometrist, had no rapport with patients at all. She did not address the patient directly and everything seemed to be a tedious chore for her. Bearing in mind that the majority of patients would probably be elderly and nervous, what they need is kindness and understanding and to feel cared for. All I can say is this lady really needed a personality transplant or change her job. She certainly let the team down.
