From the optician’s referral 9 days ago, to pre op assessment 4 days later, I received cataract surgery today. The staff were personable but professional. The clinic was spotlessly clean and I was seen to in a timely matter on the day of my procedure. Would recommend!

Having had the cateract on left eye removed in March 2024, the experience and staff at my most recent surgery were outstanding. The Surgeon, operating staff, admin and everyone within the facility were truly outstanding. Everyone was welcoming, extremely curious and kind. I felt at easy throughout the procedure and assured by the surgeon and theatre staff. The nurses who discharged me were lovely too. Thank you everyone.

I found everything was like a breath of fresh air, staff at reception kind, put you at ease. Nurses same Doctors explaining procedure.

Had both cateracts done at Colchester Spa Medica each time was a good experience from the moment you walk in and leave painless procedure and a great set up l was explained everything as we went along eye surgeon was excellent making sure l was comfortable and okay throughout procedure eyesight now is brilliant thankyou Spa Medica and the team

The staff are welcoming at the reception area of the Clinic which immediately puts one at ease. The surroundings are pleasant and very clean. Music is playing and drinks are available for those accompanying a patient. My experience as a patient was very good. The nursing staff were kind and efficient and the surgeon skilful and reassuring. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Every step of the process, from my first pre-assessment to the completion of my second cataract procedure, was well explained by courteous and friendly staff. I didn't feel patronised (which is often the case when you reach a certain age). A big thankyou to everyone from the lady who kept the area clean, the reception staff, nurses, sight testing staff, theatre staff and the surgeon who performed both procedures.

The whole process from start to finish was very efficient. Thorough and reassuring .Very fast referral and completed within 2 and a half weeks. I didn’t expect it to be so fast thought I would have a long wait.
