Had cataract surgery within 2 days of assessment. I was taken very good care of due to being very nervous, everyone was really friendly and made to feel at ease. Thankyou

The initial consultation appointment was very speedy post referral. The staff were very friendly, communicative and helpful. A date for the cataract procedure was offered shortly after the consultation, and on the day I was out writing two hours. Swift, and the outcome is great!

My 87 year old Mother had a procedure today 15/11/2024 9.20 till 12ish all staff were lovely they were all polite welcoming informative professional and so to her needs thank you to the lovely lady who took her to surgery and the amazing cleaner who wad so caring and just lovely you are diamonds all of you congratulations to a real amazing Team

I have had 2 cataract operations at thus clinic. The first was very positive and went smoothly. However, the second one was less so. The actual procedure was quite traumatic because the staff were not attentive to my needs when I told them I was uncomfortable and getting very wet from the dripping water that soaked my jumper. The surgeon was not as approachable or informative as during the first experience, she did not talk me through what was happening and overall the operating staff did not really seem to take interest in me. I was literally shaking at the end of procedure and was only given paper towels to stuff down my jumper to soak up the water. As an 80 year old wearing a cold wet jumper was both uncomfortable and unhealthy. Especially after such a traumatic experience. I had been looking forward to the second operation after the first experience, but regret it now. Aside from the actual procedure itself, everybody else was helpful.

Excellent all round care from all members of staff. I was greeted very warmly, staff smiling and so so polite, friendly and professional. Nothing too much trouble in a calm and caring atmosphere. Good choice of drinks and biscuits after my cataract treatment - bonus! Highly recommend this practice and staff should be congratulated on all the hard work delivered with the utmost care and compassion.

I found everyone very efficient, helpful and friendly. It is a very well run practice. The only issue I had was not being able to put in the eye drops myself - be aware of this if you have any mobility issues with your hands.

I cannot praise spa medica enough. They are so efficient, kind and attentive from the reception staff, nurses and the consultant. I went for my initial consultation on Tuesday last week and they were all so kind and helpful and when I left, I was offered an appointment to have my surgery on Friday that week. Unfortunately I couldn’t accept that appointment but within 24 hours I had a text message offering me an appointment two days later. I attended this appointmentat 8 am and within two hours and 15 minutes I was sat back in reception waiting for my lift home. Everything went very smoothly from the minute I arrived and everybody was so kind and reassuring as I was quite nervous. The consultant was fantastic and put my mind at ease when he came to speak to me before the surgery and reassured me and kept me in the picture all the way through the surgery which was completely plain sailing. I would recommend this company to Everyone. And I thank them all for making my experience so straightforward. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if it becomes necessary.
