Had 2 cataracts removed very efficient no waiting pleasant staff Very good surroundings good experience would definitely recommend the Spa at Gateshead.

My experience of SpaMedica Gateshead has been very positive. From my initial assessment, to both eyes having cataracts removed. Staff are really lovely and friendly, especially the staff that your family don't get to see from the waiting room, these are the staff who take care of you before, during and after your procedure, this includes helping you on and off the bed and taking you back to the waiting room. Post op advice was explained by both the staff after surgery and staff at the reception desk. Number is provided should you have any concerns or questions. I would highly recommend this practice.

I had a cataract removed 11th August, first class staff,most efficient with no waiting around ...the result was amazing,can't wait to get my other eye done ...I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice ..

I got a prompt appt and had my first eye done at the Gateshead spa medica. Friendly, professional staff. Looking forward to getting my second cataract fixed

I would like to thank everyone at spa medica for the excellent way I was looked after starting with my assessment in May to the 2 procedures completed in august. All the staff were very professional,warm and friendly.I was fully informed of everything that was happening or going to happen. All my paperwork was checked, double checked, and triple checked making sure I was the correct person for that procedure. Thank you all again for your excellent professionalism.

Very pleasant staff made sure we were okay throughout the procedure. The actual op wasn't the most pleasant of experiences but it was painless and over in about 15 minutes. The next day my eye was fine and, by the second day, perfect. They make sure you know what to do and what not to do after the op to ensure your eye recovers well and I would have no qualms about going back if my other eye ever needed doing. A great team.

I am so impressed with the way my cataract op was handled - from the initial assessment to the actual surgery. Everything and everybody was efficient, kind and informative. Sadly, this wasn't matched by the post-op advice I sought about when I could start exercising - swimming, cycling, yoga and pilates in my case. It was vague and sometimes (as I found out later) incorrect. I think it would be easy to improve this. But, overall, a great experience
