This is my second cataract op. Compared to the first one I was disappointed by the lack of care by the surgeon on Saturday July 6th 2024, he was clumsy and caused me a lot of pain. The first op carried out by a trainee 5 weeks ago was efficient and careful. The surgeon turned up late for his appointments, talked about his holidays and rushed the op in order to catch up with his lack of scheduling. He treated my eye as if he was removing a corn and was not aware of what a delicate organ the eye is. He was slap dash compared to the first surgeon. I was very disappointed with the second op compared to the first. The rest of the experience ws exemplary

I could not fault the team that looked after me on the day of my surgery. They were kind,caring and professional. The Surgeon explained all that was going on as he did the surgery..very reassuring. Thank You all so much for this wonderful gift.

Staff are wonderful. I was very anxious when visiting but staff were great at putting me at ease. Very thoughtful and caring. The surgeon talked me through each step of the surgery, informing me at each stage which I found comforting. Thank you To everyone at SpaMedica Gloucester for your warm welcoming and such thoughtful care whilst I was there. The surgery really has changed my life.

From the moment I arrived, the whole staff - cleaner. front of house, Manager, nurses and theatre staff welcomed me, looked after me, explained everything to me,, gave me copious hot drinks, much like a top class hotel. The place was spotless and very efficient. A really positive pain free experience.

Very efficient service right from the receptionists through the whole experience .Clean and modern building. Very friendly staff and client focussed care. Procedures carried out very professionally but in a friendly caring way

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. They put me at ease. The surgeons explained everything to me and the after care I understood. thank you .

Shame Consultant and Trainee could not have spoken to me after the procedure to explain why there had been issues. Not such a smooth experience the second time around
