This was my 2nd cataract operation and as the first one completed with efficiency in a very relaxed procedure and all the staff pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable, anyone requiring this procedure should not have any reservations using “SpaMedica”.

Attended for eye surgery for removal of cataracts at the Kendal practice earlier this week and was very anxious at having this carried out having never gone through it before, my pre assessment went very well and all staff were extremely friendly and explained what would happen on surgery day, I felt more understanding of what was going to happen on the day of the surgery ,the surgery day duly arrived and i cannot say that i was slightly anxious , However going through the necessary checks with various nurses at various intervals, i was re assured all would be fine, the consultant was extremely professional , very informative and i knew i was going to be well looked after, even though it is only 1 day after surgery, the difference in my vision is unbelievable and i am so grateful to Spa Medica for their care, if i was to make a point of criticism , it would be that the long waiting time sitting around before surgery is rather excessive and if the patient was anxious this does not help

I have now had both eyes treated for cataracts now, and the results are fantastic. Looking forward to new glasses to go with the new lenses. I was naturally not looking forward to the operation, but it is (or was in my case) relatively painless. Thank you.

From the first phone call to the assessment and then the procedure my experience was fantastic. Very efficient process and very friendly and reassuring staff.

I have now had the cataracts removed from both my eyes. I was very apprehensive on the first occasion, but everything was clearly explained to me step to step and I felt re-assured.On the second occasion I knew what to expect, so was not so anxious. The surgery itself was very quick on both occasions, the eyedrop routine for afterwards was carefully explained to me, and I am glad to say that I am amazed by the improvement in my eyesight.

I have just had my second cataract operation completed and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. The staff from the reception right done to the cleaner were very professional and polite. All through each stage the nurses explained in detail what was going to happen and I was encouraged to ask any questions if I had any doubts. The surgeon was very explicit and explained the whole procedure as he was operating. Perhaps it was because I had been a nurse myself that I had asked what he was doing and found this very interesting. I have no qualms about recommending Spa Medica.

Had both cataracts done. As a nervous patient staff were very reassuring and talked me through every stage of the process. Everyone was cheerful and professional. I had to rearrange twice and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is difficult to see how this could be improved.

Had my first eye done yesterday I was petrified but everyone I came in contact with were absolutely caring,friendly and reassuring the consultant was amazing and explained everything I can honestly say I found it fascinating and painless and the results today are amazing I can’t thank everyone at spamedica Kendal enough. See you soon for next eye can’t wait .
