I realy cant speak highly enough of my experience at SpaMedica Kendal, from the moment i was greeted at the door and shown to my seat and had a cup of tea and biscuits brought to me! All the staff were really caring and friendly and took their time to explain every step of what was going on to me. The actual cataract operations took about 6 minutes and were totally painless! The professionalism of all the staff was second to none! I really can't believe the difference to my eyes, it's like having new ones!! Once again, my heartfelt thanks to every single member of the staff for a wonderful experience, you are all fantastic, I really recommend this to anyone!

Every body, from the person who admitted me to the surgeon, was extremely pleasant, friendly and reassuring. I was very apprehensive although hot really afraid, but the whole morning was without trauma - nobody could have been easier to talk to or more considerate than the staff were. The follow-up instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am extremely grateful and will have no qualms at all when I am called for the second eye to be dealt with. Thank you SpaMedica.

I had surgery on one eye (cataract) and just cannot fault the experience. Eye surgery is a pet frightening prospect - have no fear! Everything is explained verbally and through easy to read booklet. And there was no pain!

Professional from start to finish. Calm in presenting the process and procedure from assessment through to my attending for my first cataract surgery. Can't wait for other eye to be done. Thanks to all the staff especially one of the assessment nurses. Cheers

I was very impressed with the speed, efficiency and care I received when I had surgery on both eyes recently I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to anyone requiring cataract surgery

Professional from start to finish, I was well looked after and put at ease throughout, every single member of staff made me feel comfortable giving full clear explanations, The operation was pain free, and I was soon seeing clearly, now waiting for the other cataract removal… thank you to all staff

The timeliness and experience of my cataract surgery was excellent. I found the actual op unpleasant, probably because I hadn't expected such a painfully bright light. It would have been much better if someone could have talked me through what they were doing at intervals. That said, I've had no trouble at all and am now 2 weeks post op and seeing well (through that eye). I've switched from 'not doing that again' to 'how soon can I get the other one done?!'. So all the arrangements around the op are great, the op was 10 minutes of not very nice, and 2 weeks later I can drive without glasses. Result!

NHS waiting lists? My appointment arrived within 3 days of being referred to Spamedic! Extremely well organised and professional care and attention. Superb and friendly staff througout my visit. Every step of my journey was thoroughly explained. Thank you NHS.
