I have had cataracts removed from both eyes ( in May and August). The service, from the staff who greet you at Reception, through to the Operating staff, has been excellent and very professional. Everyone was caring, helpful and friendly. The outcome has been brilliant- I had forgotten what it was like to have such clear vision. Definitely recommend this clinic.

More than surprised with the quick response of SpaMedica in dealing with the cataract in my right eye. From eye test with my local optician to actual operation took only 2 weeks. SpaMedica provided excellent service throughout my assessment and operation day. NHS and SpaMedica are working well together.

Four days ago I was laying in the SpaMedica surgical theatre having the cataract in my right eye removed. This afternoon I felt like I was walking in some magical land where everything was fantastically three dimensional and in ultra fine detail. I knew my cataract had become bad, but I wasn't expecting such an overall improvement in my long-sight vision, especially as I still have a cataract in my other eye (which thankfully is not as dense). I drove myself and my partner into town to do our shopping with absolutely no problem, amazed that I could see everything in crystal clarity. I cannot recommend SpaMedica highly enough, friendly, helpful and highly professional, and I'm now looking forward to having my left eye done as soon as is possible.

From the moment we walked in the door for my first appointment, to the moment we left after the surgery, the care was excellent. Everything was explained well, all the staff were so caring. The surgery was efficient, painless and successful, I can already see so much better.

I had both eyes operated on for cataracts recently and cannot speak highly enough of this service. From the outset it is obvious that it is a very slick operation. The initial welcome from the reception staff is very welcoming and friendly with the offer of tea and biscuits. The initial assessments were carried out almost seamlessly going from one stage to the next with a noticeably competent team explaining each and every step and willing and able to answer my questions. The actual surgery a few days later was carried out by a very friendly professional team, again with each step explained clearly. I came away wondering why I had been nervous about it all. For the second surgery I developed quite a severe tremor on the operating table (normal for me if under stress) but the nurses helped calm me and the surgeon carried on to successfully complete. The discharge process again is extremely well developed with a nurse explaining step by step what I need to do and handing over a 'goody' bag of eye drops, check sheets, information packs and a list of things to avoid doing for reference ovr the next month. Then finally it is back to reception to be given your post-op check-up appointment. I have to say the staff were great at putting me at ease during what I had expected to be a nightmare experience; I have a great aversion to anything happening near my eyes. One very noticeable aspect is that all the staff appear to enjoy working there; even people not directly involved in my treatment would smile and give a cheerful 'hello' as they walked past. I would just like to say a big thank you to all involved in my treatment and I will highly recommend the experience to anyone else who may be nervous about treatment.

Modern up to date building with welcoming efficient and very helpful staff who tried to make all patients feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble despite the clinic being very busy. Coffee tea and biscuits (including gluten free) on offer free of charge

I am a very scared person when it is so with eyes . Had my right eye done just over a week ago. Then will have my other eye done soon. The staff are excellent when helping me . I am such a baby when it is so with eyes,and the staff are so good at calming me down and nothing is too much trouble for them . Brilliant place with brilliant people .

From the moment I walked in for Cataract Assessment and 2 weeks later for surgery I felt cared for by all the staff. On arrival one is greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff who offer refreshments and reassurance. All the medical staff were friendly, reassuring and happy to answer any queries, whilst being professional and clearly very skilled. The cataract surgery was painless and theatre staff were superb, reassuring me throughout. There was no lengthy waiting around. After surgery, refreshments were offered again (as on arrival ), whilst they contacted my relative to inform them to collect me. I was given a very clear Care Plan and drops by the discharge nurse. I am due to return for cataract surgery on the other eye very soon and have no qualms about doing so. Spa Medica in Norwich is outstanding!
