Wow, what a lovely place. Just like a 5* hotel. So clean, free parking, free refreshments - unheard of with normal hospitals. Wonderful staff from the cleaners to the medical consultants. My mother and I were literally gobsmacked. I just wish there were more specialised places like this to ease the pressure from our normal hospitals who just don't have the time needed for this amount of special care. A truly amazing experience. Thank you.

An excellent model of healthcare. From communication to reception, pre. op and surgery everything was courteous, reassuring and professional. Everything explained and all questions answered. Good free parking and coffee!

One eye done and second eye operation pending. Amazing results. When offered the choice between being short-sighted and long-sighted I chse long-sighten having spent most of my lifetime being short-sighted. I can now see twigs on distant trees and feathers on birds. Looking forward to getting the 2nd eye done. Very well done to all the staff and, in particular, the surgeon who gave me such wonderful eyesight.

From the initial communication through to the assessment and subsequent cataract treatment, the whole experience was faultless. The staff were superb and gave great confidence also being totally professional throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Portsmouth clinic to anyone thinking of having eye procedures.1st Class treatment, thank you.

This is an excellent clinic! I had a thorough (and I mean thorough) assessment on the Friday and had the cataract op on the following Monday! The place is brand new, squeaky clean and functions like a well-oiled machine, but that doesn't mean the staff are uncaring - quite the opposite. I received first-class care throughout and was very impressed with all the attention to detail. Just a small example of the attitude of the people here - just outside the theatre is a hand-written sign which tells you that if you need a hand hold, just ask! Brilliant!

From referral by my optician in November 24 to surgery on December 2nd and January 6th the service I received was professional, efficient and friendly . Verbal information given and reinforced by written information . The surgeon letting you know his progress with the operations was very reassuring . Post op , following the rules, I have had no problems and my vision clear and so colourful

Excellent practice. Super, caring service before and after surgery. I thoroughly recommend Spa medica. I had cataract surgery under a very caring surgeon, who explained every detail reassuringly whilst operating.

I was referred by my optician at the end of September this year. Within a week of the referral I had had the assessment at Spa Medica and by the beginning of September had had both cataracts dealt with.

I was referred by my optician on isle of wight for cataract surgery on NHS at Portsmouth . I was seen and assessed within a week and first surgery within another week in October . Following discovery of another problem in my right eye I was re referred and seen within a week for follow up and booked for laser in Jan/ feb 2025 I was referred for left eye cataract and within one week had surgery yesterday 16th December . I was treated with upmost professionalism at all times, all staff were fabulous at all times . I am looking forward to returning in 2025 .

I had cataract surgery on 0ctober and November 2024. Both times staff very friendly and helpful. Surgery was done very quickly and the only hanging about was for dilation drugs and anaesthetic to work. Very good.
