This was my 2nd cataract different eye. Compared to my first this was delayed but completed in the 3 hours just. The wait went smoothly with drinks and biscuits. All the pre theatre went well. I was greeted by the surgeon, very pleasant. Once on the bed it felt like a rush, my eye was physically abused by the disinfectant wipe and the fitting of the sticky face cover. The operation went very quickly, I believe compared to my first operation. Compared to my first op. I needed pain killers for 2 days and it took 4 days before the blurred sight cleared, Next day on my first and drove my car legally. My sight is still impaired but everyday its improving. I wanted to give this review on day one as I was fairly angry but decided to give it a day or two. My sight is following the norm according to the booklet but it was the operation its self that I am writing this. All in all, after 4 days I'm over it, just need to see the optician to verify my sight is better.

I have had my first ever cataract eye surgery at SpaMedica Sittingbourne 2 days ago. From my post op appointment to my day of surgery the care and attention was first class. I would like to thank each and every member of staff for their care I received. I would have no hesitation in recommending SpaMedica to anyone.

I received great service and care from the team at Spa Medica Sittingbourne. The team were always professional and put your care as number one priority. They are explained the problem I had with my right eye and how the operation would be done. There was no long waiting period between assessment and operation. The facilities are clean and are well maintained.

I can't thank Spa medica enough for giving me clearer vision and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of cataract surgery. You won't be disappointed!

I attended SpaMedica Sittingbourne for cataract assessment and surgery. The staff were all very chatty and friendly. The assessment when well with everything being explained to me, I had no reservations about returning for my surgery. On the day of the surgery, I arrived on time and was taken through almost straight away. There was a wait before going into surgery but drinks and biscuits were available. During surgery the surgeon explained what she was doing throughout. It was a very positive experience.

I had both my eye done, absoutely brilliant. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Easy free parking, and this Spamedica is right on my doorstep. Just perfect

Had cataract surgery and I can say the whole experience from assessment to day of surgery was fantastic. Very friendly caring informative staff that put you at ease.

Made to feel at ease, everything was explained fully, appointment time was kept, procedure was quick and painless. Only one slight drawback, no Internet signal at the moment.

The first thing to say is generally the staff are good as is the treatment. This was my second eye and just lie the other eye and pre assessment I also had to return twice for further tests as the original assessment failed to complete all the necessary information. It’s the waiting time and I know they tell you it could be 3 hours but if it was run for patients and not money it would be perfect. I was first at 8am patients arrived every 10 minutes I was taken through to pre op by the admissions nurse at 8.20 I am a chatty happy go lucky person after only a minute she snapped at me that she has 28 patients to do today so didn’t have time for small talk! I then remained courteous but quiet she then realised and started telling me about her weekend with her granddaughter? I was the put through to the stable area where she said I should be in for 30 minutes surgery should be done by 9am. Just shy of 10oclock with the stable area now full with 7 patients and their partners she came through and said the surgeon has just arrived and operations would start asap? I went into theatre just after 10 o’clock the operation took 7 minutes so why did we have to be there for 2 hours and of course the waitrooms were now packed . It’s simply a money making machine paid for by the NHS. When I left I thanked everyone but did comment I thought the wait too long , the receptionist replied try the NHS then see how long you’d wait?
