Cataract surgery completed on both eyes within months at this practice. Outstanding service provided from the initial phone calls to the call centre to the welcome from the team at reception, which is continued throughout the team Pre & Post Operation. The staff are friendly, kind and professional in what they do. I never experienced or noticed any lack of care or disorganisation as you would expect in an NHS hospital. This is a prime example of how the NHS should be running! The Government should open more NHS centres like this for minor surgery on all issues.

I was referred to Spa Medica by Vision Express. Cataract in both eyes, First eye has been operated on within 2 weeks. Everyone was very friendly and very efficient. I can now see 🥳

The staff were friendly and professional and were happy to take time to explain procedures and answer any questions. The hospital was extremely clean and well equipped for the type of procedure it specialised in. I was provided with booklets on what to expect during the procedure and how to treat the eye during the following healing process and given instructions on how to contact SpaMedica in the case of routine problems or emergencies. Prior to leaving on the day of surgery I was given instructions on how and when to use the medication provided. All in all a painless and successful treatment. Car parking at the site can be a problem as at times there seemed a shortage of seating in the hospital. I was told by a staff member that I was being discharged and would be sent for to have surgery on my other eye; I had only been referred for the cataract in the left eye, when I pointed this out the member of staff examined the records and apologised.

Very welcoming, offered refreshments on arrival. Booking in was friendly and efficient. Everyone very friendly. Whole operation process was quick and efficient. Operation relatively painless. Very pleased with end result. Even someone outside to ensure you got to your transport home without tripping over curbs, steps etc. Definitely recommend

I have had both eyes treated for cataracts at this facility, the first in June and the second in August. On both occasions, I was treated with courtesy, professionalism and competence. A great welcome with refreshments offered to both my wife and I. The nursing staff were very friendly and helpful, answering questions as required and, before I left, explaining the purpose of the medication and how to use it. The surgeons were excellent, and the results transformative. Punctuality was excellent, starting on time and the overall time was significantly less than the three hours advised; the August treatment took around 1 hour 40 minutes. Excellent performance all round - and only a short wait between referral and being able to make the appointment. Well done, SpaMedica!

Recently had cataract surgery. Efficiently organised and a highly professional procedure. This was my first experience of this type of surgery and I am looking forward to my other eye being corrected.

Professional from the minute you walked in the front door. All staff were polite and friendly and kept you informed throughout. The premises were well designed to cater for the patient and chaperone offering free refreshments.
