I was impressed from the very beginning by the simple comfortable surroundings and the friendly, caring and efficient staff. I had been feeling apprehensive but the nurses alleviated my worries and gave me confidence. The surgery was explained to me on assessment visit and the surgeon spoke to me before the procedure. At every step I was reassured. I can't believe the difference it has made to my sight, it's like a miracle, everything looks so beautiful, and I am grateful to all concerned. I feel very fortunate. I am looking forward to having the surgery on my other eye. Thankyou all so much

The whole process from arriving to surgery was very professional but slow on my visit. After sitting for about 2 hours one of the team apologised for the delay. A negative was the lack of WiFi and virtually no phone signal. When asking for the WiFi details I was told their regional manager had said patients could not get it for security reasons- I suggest it should be provided as most patients can’t read the numerous magazine provided due to us attending for eye problems- at least I could zoom in to read whilst waiting if I could connect to the WiFi that all NHS hospitals provide for patients

From beginning to end and to all of those involved I have nothing but praise. I was very nervous but they all helped to calm me. I was well informed throughout. I will have no qualms in having my other eye done. Thankyou.

From the first the whole set of office and rooms were immaculate and gave you confidence. The staff looked after me signing me in and offering hot and cold drinks. Then taking me through and starting the treatments they explained to me what they were doing as I was a little on edge. They made me feel calm as they talked to me and other people were there who seemed quite content as well as we waited each in turn for our medics to work. I was watching TV and felt more at ease as I was taken through to the next room, again immaculately clean. Then the surgeon a lovely young lady came though and answered some questions for me. The operation came next which was all set up quickly and was amazing! it was so quick and she (the surgeon ) so deft. All that was left then was to see another nurse given good advice and medicine and a small bag of information booklets . Welcome desk staff gave me a hot drink as I rested then called my friend to pick me up . Since coming home, my eye has healed very quickly and to my amazement I can see really far and clear without my specs. I am so happy and grateful. I rang today 2 days after my eye op to book ready for my other eye, I can't wait to have that one done now and definitely at SpaMedica Telford Thank you so much.

From first contact, staff at Euston Way, Telford were very friendly and helpful. It was my first cataract operation, every member of staff with whom I came into contact, did their best to make me feel at ease. At each step of the process , I was given appropriate information. They took care to explain what l had to do post operative.

Very impressed with the service I recieved when attending for a pre operation appointment. Spotlessly clean premises. Very friendly welcome at reception. Very professional helpful and informative clinical staff. Put me at ease and made me feel confident I was in good hands. Very efficient in the way each department integrated with the others so that you weren't left waiting around for ages in between each test that needed to be done. All staff a credit to the company.

Very efficient process the assessment was on a Monday and operation then scheduled for the Friday. The op itself seems to have gone ok but time will be the deciding factor. But communications were very poor 1) assessment appointment is circa 2 hours long it would be helpful if the letter told you this so the person driving you knows how long it is going to take. Post op the nurse gave all the post op info to my 82 year old hard of hearing mum before she’d been given her hearing aids back and whilst she still had a hairnet over her ears. When I asked questions to understand what the post operative care and follow up were the nurse was very impatient and quite passive aggressive - totally unnecessary attitude and I would expect more patient awareness from a medical professional. The poor comms and the nurse’s poor attitude made what would have been an efficient experience much less positive.

From pick up to drop off the whole experience was very positive. Everybody was very nice and knowledgable nothing was to much trouble. This is my first cataract op. It was painless and quick I have no hesitation in going for my second. Very nice coffee and biscuits!
