There were three visits in the process. The pre-op assessment to determine the state of the problem, the operation and a post operative assessment to see if all went well. In my case everything went well and I was discharged. Each stage is set up so you progress through the procedures as a series of tests, consultations and of course the operation. All went smoothly for me.

I had cataracts in both eyes and these were corrected at Spamedica Watford. They run a very professional operation and all the staff are helpful and attentive. I could not recommend Spamedica more highly.

I had my 2nd cataract surgery and am so grateful for the services the clinic offered. From the reception, nurses and the surgeon they are all caring and treated me as a patient and human being. Thank you SpaMedica.

Having been to this clinic before and had a good experience, I was shocked by the brusque manner in which I was treated in the ground floor facility ( I had previously been treated on the first floor). I was the last patient of the day, but no one seemed to consider me and the removal of the cataract was excruciating, with flashes of light and rough handling of my eye- it felt like a fist gouging my eye. I wonder if I was even anaesthetised properly.This was my second cataract operation and it was nothing like the pain free procedure I had experienced before at Stoke Mandeville. No one was there to see me out. Previously, both at Stoke Mandeville and Spa Medica, I had been walked to my husband’s car.I felt ignored and undervalued, and it was an entirely unpleasant experience, which deeply upset me.

I have been to the Sparmedica Watford branch twice in the past 2 months to have a couple of cataract operations. I was very pleased and grateful to the staff who made the whole process very calming and easy. From the reception to the operation department thank you for your First class service and support

I have had two cataract ops in March and April of this year and I was really impressed with the service and treatment. The staff were all helpful, efficient and informative. Thank you to them all and of course the NHS.
