Had a cataract operation with SpaMedica. Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. The surgeon was good but a bit aloof. He never explained what he was going to do, once I lay down something was placed on my face and a membrane or something was removed and the operation started.

Needed my cataract surgery done, so SpaMedica at Wokingham was the easiest to attend. At all times the staff were pleasant and helpful. The facilities were extremely well maintained with free drinks and cookies provided. The medical staff were very supportive and professional. Overall the experience could not have been bettered in my view, making the experience the best it could have been. Thank you to all at Wokingham.

Things got off to a rocky start as just as I was setting off for the preliminary appointment I was phoned and asked a lot of preliminary questions. The caller claimed that they had tried to contact me before but my phone didn't show any missed calls. On arrival I was told that they couldn't proceed as I had worn contact lenses within the last 48 hours. The instructions need to be much clearer, as it was something which could have been easily avoided. I was able to get another appointment. The preliminarily appointment was on Monday and the first eye was done on Friday. I was surprised at how soon it was done. It's a pleasant place with easy parking and nice staff. The procedure itself was very quick, we had an early appointment and were home by 11.30. The information booklets are clear but sometimes have contradicting information. The post operation leaflet could do with more detail when it comes to the dos and don'ts.

From booking to having the procedure everything has been professionally dealt with. Arriving by car there is no hassle about parking etc. All staff were very friendly and reassuring and the teas and coffees were on offer all the time, even gluten free biscuits! Surgery was reassuring as I had the skills of a surgeon who successfully reattached my retinas 15 years ago. Can’t ask for more. Thankyou.

From the moment I was referred until both cataracts were removed I had a very efficient and speedy result. My world is now more colourful and brighter. The staff snd medical practitioners were very respectful, prompt, friendly and professional.

Initial surgery resulted in a clouded ‘sack’ giving poor vision. Second surgery in February had to be much more intensive resulting in my eye being very painful and blood shot, so much so that after 5 days I have no vision with the eye. Having had Laser surgery some 15 years ago my procedures have maybe been ‘non standard’. I’m hoping that my vision will return once the swelling and blood shot disappear! As in other reviews I concur that the staff have always been attentive and helpful.

All staff friendly. All procedures explained. From assessment to surgery very quick appointments. Staff made me feel calm and reassured. Loved my singing surgeon who kept me relaxed. Aftercare surgery explained carefully. I can see clearer the next day after surgery and no pain . I am so happy and thankful to you all . I highly recommend SpaMedica .

SpaMedica gave excellent care throughout my treatment. The staff were friendly and professional and having told them I was quite anxious about my upcoming cataract surgery, did everything they could to reassure me. The hospital itself was clean and bright and the facilities were great. Each member of staff that dealt with me , during my pre-op assessment and on the actual day of my surgery, was very caring and clear on what they were telling me. I was also reassured when I was given phone numbers to call should I have any problems. Thank you to all the staff at SoaMedica

Absolutely marvellous from arrival to departure-everyone could not have been more considerate -surgeon was fantastic and never felt any pain or discomfort and was talked through the whole procedure so carefully

I was nervous about my cataract procedure hut from the time I walked in through the door I was put at my ease.The staff and surgeons are very approachable and hold patient ease in high regard.The procedure was quick and pain free and within one day I could see clearly in my eye with the new lens and will have no worries about returning in about 4 to 6 weeks to have the other eye done. 10 out of 10
