I have a long term lung condition and telephoned for an emergency appointment for a chest infection, none were available. I asked for a rescue pack prescription and after 8hrs of waiting a call from the Surgery. I finally was informed I should ring 111 and they might help. I even requested the prescription twice online, and still it wasn't escalated to my GP, none did anything from the surgery attempt to contact me to discuss further. I was left struggling and in a lot of pain in my lungs and back for over 4 day, before 3 days medication was issued with instructions to see my GP if I'm no better. You can never get an appointment even though only 5 people are in Surgery to see a doctor
