  1. Review titled Prompt service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 July 2023

I attended with suspected tonsillitis and once registered with reception I had barely sat down when I was called into triage. I was assessed and diagnosed within 5 minutes without having to wait. I know not everyone will be dealt with like this but we have always received prompt service.

  2. Review titled A mixed bag

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Arrived at 9:17pm to be told I can’t be seen as the doors are shut for new patients from 19:15. I understand that there has to be a cut off point but when the website says it shuts at 9:45 I thought I had until then to come. Frustrating that there’s no sign on the main entrance door to communicate this. Other than that any other time me or a family member have been, although the wait can be long, the care has always been good. Please reflect and update your hours to reflect what actually happens.

  3. Review titled Poor service all around

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2023

I arrived around 5.30 pm very busy... Triaged in 15 mins... Then had to wait 2.1/2 house to be seen by a very tired clearly flustered and dismissive nures/doctor. who questiond.. Why I had come here.. And not gone to my doctor.. Really as if I can get a doctors appointment at short notice.. Then why I had not gone to a&e.. Sorry I thought these satalite walk in center's were here to alleviate the strain on a&e.. I explained my symptom and my fears of what it may be she was still having none of it. She Examined me... Not thougherly enough I thought.. I was made to feel a time waster which I'm not ill only go to these places if I am really unwell which I considered I am and in pain.... This is this person's job she is paid to attend us... I'm sorry if it was late and you were clearly tired I felt this was taken out on me it is the worst patient experience I have had on the nhs.. It wouldent hurt to be more attentative to your patient and not try to force us to go elsewhere.. Still unhappy at the treatment...

  4. Review titled A great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I walked into the St Helens Walk in Centre today 11th April at 9.10am to be greeted by a a friendly and efficient receptionist, within 15 minutes of checking in I was called in by the Triage Nurse for her to understand my issue. Again very efficient and very friendly. Within 15 minutes after triage I was called in by the Doctor who was brilliant. This is a fantastic and service and should be recognised, which is why I have done this review, Thank you everyone who attended to me

  7. Review titled Totally amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alexandra Roughley - Posted on 16 February 2023

The staff at this centre are just so friendly so professional and make even a long wait an enjoyable one. Today they were flat out with patients but never lost their cool approach even when one odd bloke decided to use the lovely receptionist’s as target practise.. most people in the waiting areas shook their heads and he had to sit down feelings stupid. Cannot rate this centre highly enough. You all know you are going to wait.. but wouldn’t you rather wait surrounded by superb staff and get the outcome you require .. I know I would Well done to all x

  8. Review titled Brilliant treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sue Manning - Posted on 07 January 2023

I visited the Walk in Centre on Boxing day because on Chrismas day I had fallen downstairs and injured my shoulder. The care I received was incredible from the Receptionist to the 2 Nurses I saw and the Radiologist. The outcome of the XRay was a fractured collarbone which was sent immediately to Whiston Hospital and was confirmed 30 minutes later. 2 days after that I was contacted by Whiston with an appointment to see a Shoulder Specialist at th Fracture Clinic on 16th January. I was so impressed by the professional and kind treatment I received at the Walk in Centre even though there were so many people waiting to be seen. Many, many thanks

  10. Review titled Friendly and helpful experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2022

I ended up with a fractured bone in my foot but the staff were so lovely and helpful. The lady who did my x ray and the person who did the consultation afterwards were both so helpful and provided me with the guidance for the next few weeks. The two ladies on reception were friendly to everyone even though towards the end of my visit the waiting room was pretty much full. Thank you for providing such a good service.
