  1. Review titled Bad practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

My friend from out of area went the walk in as her elbow was sore when seen by a nurse(male)he never took her blood pressure and what do you want me to do and said go and see your GP if it gets worse and before that we were told by St. Helens hospital to go the walk in I don’t think my friend will use the facilities again and for a person that’s not from this area is socking to be treated like a number and not a person

  2. Review titled Doctors not available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I arrived here at 09:00 this morning and left 3.5 - 4 hours later. Whilst I respect that the staff on duty do their best under difficult conditions (understaffed and underpaid) I do not think its right that nurses are expected to do the job of doctors. At no point was I advised that I would not be able to see a doctor. Had that advice been given that I would not have waited.

I had to attent the practice 5 times over two weeks due to having wound redressed. On each occasion the staff could not do enough for me and made my visit worthwhile.

  4. Review titled Absolutely brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I today needed to go to the walk in centre with what I knew was an UTI. I arrived at 1.30pm the staff were absolutely lovely. I was triaged, seen by an advanced practitioner, examined and left with a prescription for antibiotics at 1.55pm. NHS at is best they were working hard and were wonderful.

  5. Review titled Prompt service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended with suspected tonsillitis and once registered with reception I had barely sat down when I was called into triage. I was assessed and diagnosed within 5 minutes without having to wait. I know not everyone will be dealt with like this but we have always received prompt service.

  6. Review titled A mixed bag

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Arrived at 9:17pm to be told I can’t be seen as the doors are shut for new patients from 19:15. I understand that there has to be a cut off point but when the website says it shuts at 9:45 I thought I had until then to come. Frustrating that there’s no sign on the main entrance door to communicate this. Other than that any other time me or a family member have been, although the wait can be long, the care has always been good. Please reflect and update your hours to reflect what actually happens.

  7. Review titled Poor service all around

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2023

I arrived around 5.30 pm very busy... Triaged in 15 mins... Then had to wait 2.1/2 house to be seen by a very tired clearly flustered and dismissive nures/doctor. who questiond.. Why I had come here.. And not gone to my doctor.. Really as if I can get a doctors appointment at short notice.. Then why I had not gone to a&e.. Sorry I thought these satalite walk in center's were here to alleviate the strain on a&e.. I explained my symptom and my fears of what it may be she was still having none of it. She Examined me... Not thougherly enough I thought.. I was made to feel a time waster which I'm not ill only go to these places if I am really unwell which I considered I am and in pain.... This is this person's job she is paid to attend us... I'm sorry if it was late and you were clearly tired I felt this was taken out on me it is the worst patient experience I have had on the nhs.. It wouldent hurt to be more attentative to your patient and not try to force us to go elsewhere.. Still unhappy at the treatment...

  8. Review titled A great practice

I walked into the St Helens Walk in Centre today 11th April at 9.10am to be greeted by a a friendly and efficient receptionist, within 15 minutes of checking in I was called in by the Triage Nurse for her to understand my issue. Again very efficient and very friendly. Within 15 minutes after triage I was called in by the Doctor who was brilliant. This is a fantastic and service and should be recognised, which is why I have done this review, Thank you everyone who attended to me
