  1. Review titled Really bad service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Why doesn't anybody answer the phone? Waiting for results from the Dermatology dept after 11 weeks. Got through twice to enquire where the results were to be told they were on the Consultants desk waiting to be signed. According to the person that I spoke to they were going to send an email to said Consultant to expidite letter. Still waiting and worrying. Will be putting in a formal complaint through the proper channels.

  2. Review titled Poor Service and Communication Issues with NHS Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Vikk - Posted on 29 July 2024

I missed the GP appointment (approximately 15 minutes from the scheduled time) because there was so much morning traffic. I started to notify the GP there and then. But due to a long recorded message, I had to wait for 30-40 minutes to talk to a human at NHS. Now they are saying I have to call before the appointment. How can I do that? Further, when I called about the situation, they said, "You do not come now; your appointment is already canceled." A few hours later, I received a text saying I have to notify them. After listening to the recording, which wasted my time for around 20 minutes, they said I received the message because I didn't come, even after I missed the appointment. Why are people at NHS changing their statements? What a rubbish service by NHS staff. They are not listening to patient concerns and are behaving like they are doing us a favor for free. Why can’t NHS staff be polite? They are paid huge amounts from our tax money. As a patient, I do not expect arrogant behavior from NHS staff. They need to be trained on how to talk with patients. Pathetic service.

  3. Review titled Efficient Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Being diagnosed with a skin cancer is not great news. But having a service that realised what it was and dealt with quickly was very reassuring. Thanks particularly to the excellent surgeon and her assistant nurse. They were brilliant!

  5. Review titled Cancellations of treatment for more than 2 years

Rated 1 star out of 5

We were told moving Dermatology out of the LRI into localised centres would bring about quicker treatment. I have had at leat 13 appointments cancelled and as a result have BCC's left untreated and growing. I am disgusted that despite a personal appeal to have my appointment stand, they have still seen fit to cancel it and move it forward. The fear and angst that this has caused me, is wholly unacceptable

  6. Review titled My journey at dermatology.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I first started my journey having my lesion looked at & photographed at Hinckley. I then went St Peters to see a dermatologist, I was told there was something there & it was low grade & need to be taken out. I had to wait a while but it wasn't a problem as they probably had more serious cases to do. This June I had the lesion cut out. Everything went well. After I few weeks I noticed a spot that was weeping a little bit, I phoned dermatology & was seen promptly. I was given some cream & while was there they checked to see if my results were , they were, so they checked me over there & then & told me everything was ok & I didn't need to go back. Thank you for being efficient, caring & looking after me.
