  1. Review titled Failed to refer a child

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 August 2024

We saw a doctor for my young child. She recommended a referral. It was never processed. I chased it: the hospital had nothing on record because nothing was ever sent. The surgery gave no explanation or apology despite my asking explicitly in numerous emails. We finally saw a consultant 8 months after the initial appointment, which itself we had to wait 7 weeks for, in part because, when we were at the surgery, no staff member knew how to work the booking system (this was 3pm on a weekday).

  2. Review titled Reception staff unhelpful and rude.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Reception staff rude and unhelpful. You want to know why the A&E services are overwhelmed is because the GP’s can’t seem to help at short notice when you’re in pain and in need of help.

  3. Review titled COVID vaccinations by rude dismissive staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 August 2022

On arrival I explained to the vaccinator that I had concerns over the vaccine and have a long list of allergies. I asked if there was an EpiPen present as I have anaphylaxis for other medications. The vaccinator rolled her eyes at me and rather than getting an EpiPen went to get who I assume to be the senior nurse. No introductions were given and I was again asked why I wanted to know if an EpiPen was present. I explained that I had medicinal anaphylaxis but do not have an EpiPen as there are avoidable (in my GPs opinion). I was then flippantly told they can't be serious then. Given my last vaccine cause localised swelling I asked to go in the other arm to which both present again rolled their eyes and made dismissive sounds followed by the senior nurse saying 'well it's your body'. Unfortunately neither of the staff understood that I come from a clinical healthcare background and my wife who was also present is a paramedic. The attitude shown was at best dismissive, at worst a form of bullying and should not be tolerated by anyone. Just because they are either poorly trained or lack enthusiasm does not dictate that this is the way they should behave.
