Moved away to uni and waiting for my Gp registration to come through. Couldn’t get a Gp appointment so consulted online who told me to call 111 who told me to make a Gp appointment or go to the walk in centre. As I’d already tried and failed to get a Gp appointment I went to the walk in centre. Very unclear where it actually was. Poor signage. At the centre I saw a nurse practitioner who told me to make a Gp appointment, call 111 or go to Accident & Emergency . I had already tried to get a Gp appointment and 111 had told me to come to the walk-in centre.I knew that although I was in a lot of pain that it wasn’t the right thing for me to go to Accident & Emergency - nurse practitioner also told me that the wait would be over 12 hours. Completely pointless to go there. No one there could do anything for me - no prescribing doctor on site.
