Various members of the loft have been "involved" in the care of someone I supported over the course of the last few years, if you could call what they have offered care. From the very get go the various team members have taken very little interest in actually getting to know said individual, instead they come and visit, offer little to no communication or interaction and sit there making false assumptions and accusations. They appear to tarnish most individuals with the same brush, blame everything on sensory needs rather than actually taking time to get to know the individual they are supposed to be helping, they have used the 'sensory needs' card for several individuals within the same service. They very rarely listen to staff members supporting the individuals, despite the staff members working and caring for these individuals on a daily basis and ultimately knowing the individuals more. They offer support in various ways, ie music therapy and such and never follow through with it despite having discussions about how beneficial the individual may find it. Another example of this is them liaising with the staff of the individual to create a personalised training session then not following through with it and instead offering a generalised session to staff which was pointless. They also throw out random diagnoses for people after several years, with little to no evidence to support the claim. They are very quick to judge situations and blame staff for when the things they have put in place don't work or alternatively pretend as if they weren't told said things don't work despite being told on several different occasions. Overall my experience with staff at The Loft has been appalling and I would not recommend their help or support for those you care about or your loved ones. A few of the staff there are lovely but ultimately I think there is a big issue there which needs looking at. They should stop being so presumptuous and use a more person centred approach. Not every single person who is referred to them will benefit from the same things. They should take the time to actually form and build relationships with the people they are supposed to be helping.

Seen the doctor for the first time having changed boroughs he had no rapore with my son just not interested when I wanted to reduce his meds just wanted to pass us on to a different service we then had two sessions of that now been passed and n to another department with a missive waiting list
