  1. Review titled Friendly Doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was nervous because I had seen a different doctor at another hospital and they were dismissive and did not listen. Hear I felt heard and the doctor was sensitive when she spoke with me.

  2. Review titled Excellent practice Saturday 9am appt

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Anita B - Posted on 20 August 2024

This was NHS at it's best. Friendly, efficient staff. I saw 4 individual members of staff. They were all excellent. They were so efficient, all working as z Team. Hearing test lady was lovely. The Doctor was brilliant: explaining my hearing problems, course of action, she listened attentively to my symptoms. I was blown away by the speedy accurate service by everyone. 50 mins 4 people, hearing test, ears suction and consultation. Amazing service. Spotlessly clean too. Thanks you very much everyone. Staff were calm, hard working and not standing around chattering.

  3. Review titled The breast clinic was in darkness

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I arrived to my appointment on the 11th of October, and the breast clinic was in darkness at 6.40pm. Apparently the cleaner was expecting some women to arrive to be told that they’re closed and gone home?

Rated 5 stars out of 5

We would just like to extend our thanks for the support you gave to our grandparents, my grandad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and the service he received was fantastic. Not only support for the ongoing issues but for family members and support contacting different departments. Real holistic care.

  7. Review titled Cafe

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2023

Visited this building today while going for an X Ray I left my husband in the Cafe with a drink while I went in my husband being registered blind and disabled . When I came out went to the counter to order food it was about 1.45 . Asked for 2 toasted teacakes was told couldn't order them because breakfast had finished but picked up 2 toasted sandwiches that could be cooked in the same way and there wasn't much choice of cold sandwiches.A member of staff had just ordered the same thing and stood at the side of the counter waiting for her food, i payed for my food and went to put my purse back in my bag and check on my husband when the 2 ladies behind the counter shouted in front of everyone at the top of there voices sit down we will bring them over when there ready we have got other people to serve I was really upset because everyone turned round to look , while we we were sat we also heard members of staff complaining about the lack of choice and service. I have visited Wrightington Hospital many times over the last 2 years and have never experienced this before it needs sorting out and the staff serving need to learn some manners .

  8. Review titled Staff queue jumping for bloods

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 June 2023

I am disappointed in the blood service today. There was extremely long queue and a member of staff came in for bloods from your trust. The receptionist explained to them to get a ticket but she would go down and sort something. The receptionist then came back and shouted the member of staff stating the doctor will see you now. As they walked down the corridor the receptionist said the the member of staff “I had to say that so you could come straight down instead of waiting”. No longer than 2 minutes later the member of staff came back out hiding her arm so you could not see she had a blood test. I did not know you prioritise your own staff and NHS staff over patients who have been waiting patiently.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Malcolm Murphy - Posted on 04 May 2023

I attended the Linacre outpatients with a problem I was having fitting one of my hearing aides correctly. I was seen at the appointed time by a member of staff who checked everything, analysed the problem and provided a solution to my problem very quickly. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Excellent and knowledgeable service. Thank you, Mal

  10. Review titled On time, reassuring stafff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Claire Roberts - Posted on 20 January 2023

Visited twice within a month to see a breast consultant and then got a mammogram. Both appointments on time, efficient and smoothly run. The nurse and consultant on first appointment were friendly and reassuring. The 2 ladies carrying out the mammogram were lovely, kept me calm and very professional. With all the negative news in the press at the minute it was great to see positivity in the us centre. Even the greeters were lovely and helpful.
