Review titled Poor and rude reception staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Neil Jones - Posted on 22 November 2024
My wife arranged an emergency appointment this afternoon at warstones health centre as she had a bad cough. She registered on entering the building but then was kept waiting 40 minutes even though the doctor had no one with him. When she complained as they had obviously forgotten about her one of the receptionists giggled and thought it amusing that she hadn’t been seen . The system of trying to make an appointment is very poor and in this case not helped by very poor staff who sit there doing nothing .

After being at my wits end with my sister’s mental health that was deteriorating I called Warstones health Centre for help. The reception staff were very helpful and was able to make an appointment for my sister, I can only say, as I find the stuff I spoke to were very present and very professional and it was a pleasure to talk to you.

Review titled Awful phone service
by Anna - Posted on 03 May 2024
So tried to book an appointment so I can discuss my declining mental health. it takes a lot of courage call and be able to admit I’m actually suffering and require some help if not intervention, to be told one there is no appointments which I didn’t ask for an appointment for today just any prebookable appointment so I can actually talk to someone instead of trying to ignore it then to be told we have an app that will start on Wednesday you can use that to try!! book an appointment now my concern is what if my mental health was really bad an needed to speak to someone today or even have the satisfaction that I have an upcoming appointment but to be told that I need to use an app is utterly poor you need to train your staff on how to speak to people who are suffering that are requesting help instead of palming them off with a app

Review titled Not a great experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Natalie - Posted on 09 May 2024
I’m not happy with my experience over the past few weeks I have called a few times and it’s taken me 30-40 mins to get through even as caller number 2. When I have got through been told to call back each time! Today I called again as I reached caller number 1 after being on the phone for 20 mins and calling bang on 8:00am I was cut off. Call back and I’m caller number 10 I don’t see how this is fair and a few times I have requested a call back I have never received one. Not great survive when you need to speak to someone about a problem!

I have a severe caugh that I can't stop and a fever as well, the symptoms got worse over the week. Spent 45 minutes on the phone only to be told that they do not have any appointments available for today. Once I was about to have a phone appointment, but noone ever called me.

Review titled Wheelchair Access
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 August 2023
New double doors have been installed to the rear of this clinic 14th August 2023 at the top of the ramp closest to the off road Blue Badge parking bays. The new doors are not wide enough for a standard sized wheelchair to pass through. And certainly no space for the wheelchair users finger/hands to self propelled through the door. Making it impossible for a person with disabilities who uses a wheelchair to access the building independently. To The Person responsible for passing this job off for instalation, you seriously need some retraining. It would appear you have left the existing wooden frame in place and fitted the new doors to the existing wooden frame, making the door jam approximately 7" deep and therefor reducing the door opening width so narrow a wheelchair Can Not fit through. This needs immediate attention to comply with disability access to this building.

Review titled Excellent service
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by G Cox - Posted on 26 March 2023
Last week I called at 8am for an appointment. I got through straight away and was put into a queue for approx 10 mins. I spoke to a polite receptionist who recognised that my son probably needed to be seen face to face rather than over the telephone, she arranged this promptly and my son was seen the same day by the GP. Excellent service.

The practice have been very supportive during my Mum's illness, both in terms of keeping me informed and Mum comfortable. The reception staff have been helpful despite being always busy.
