I want to say a massive thank you to my Dr and her team for everything they did for me this morning. I can't praise her highly enough. I was there for an extraction. I was treated with total care and respect and everything she did was to put me 1st. No rushing, no tutting because I was nervous. And in the end, I didn't even realise the tooth was out !! Please don't hesitate to use this practice, I truly recommend them. Professional, kind and considerate. Every staff member I came into contact with today. Once again, thank you.

Example your appointment is 2.30pm n doctor call out your name is 3.45pm what do you do expect abt it and its need improved and speed up call out name patients not wait more thn 1 hour waste our time Thank

Appointment was changed by the practice 30 mins prior to my appointment, when I was already en-route on the motorway. The text stated that my appointment was now for the afternoon. I then got a call from the dentist asking me why I had missed my appointment. The lady on the phone call was very rude. I would not recommend this practice to friends or family. Especially for anyone who is neurodiverse and struggles with social interaction or changes.

I snapped a tooth in half on Sunday afternoon and was in absolute agony, rang 111 dental helpline and the lady who answered was superb, took some details and said I needed an emergency appointment, she told me that Abbeydale Road Dental Practice would assist and would I like an appointment?. Of course I accepted immediately and she told me that the practice would contact me the next morning (Monday) with the appointment details. The next morning I did receive a text message from the Practice confirming an appointment on Tuesday 14th March 2023 at 2pm. I arrived at 1.30pm and waited outside in pain until the door was unlocked and when I went to reception I was told that I'd missed my appointment which was for Monday 13th March!. When I showed the lady my text for Tursday 14th March she just said that the text was sent with the wrong details and my appointment was gone!!. I asked if the text was from NHS 111 or the Practice and she confirmed it was from the Practice and now I would have to contact NHS 111 to try for a different appointment, when I asked to speak to the Practice manager i was told no one could help me and it was a error with the text appointment that they themselves had sent and they refused to offer any explanation or help me any further. I now sit here in agony with a snapped tooth for the third day writing this review whilst trying to source another practice. I found the NHS helpline to be extremely efficient and helpful, however this Dental Practice is on another level of unhelpfulness and poor service in my own humble opinion....

Tremendous respect for the amazing effort of NHS Dentists. First time, great experience with this Dental Practice. However, on this occasion I was so very disappointed. I do understand how much pressure is on the NHS dentists right now. The Dentist looked very much like taking on a sprint race and I can say I was very much in time for the appointment. I was feeling literally rushed out, just to say the least and be polite. Quite an unwelcome approach and no doctor-patient bond whatsoever. Now I start to see some differences in service at this Dental Practice as I moved on from private to NHS treatment being rushed out in the most obvious way after less than 10 min of treatment costing £65.20, and that was that. Treatment was absolutely basic and minimal, far from what NHS, Band 2 is meant to comprehend. And this is every 3 months as the Dentist recommended. Doing the maths, it turns out not to be better off at all compared to private treatment and I felt I was left with some sort of guilt that I had to use the NHS treatment. When asked for further details about my teeth health, I was literally invited to speak to Reception. I was honestly expecting a bit of a clear planning and counselling on the shorter- and longer-term treatment as that is why I really wish to keep the same Dentist for as long as possible. Your teeth are a serious matter and a vital part of our overall health and oftentimes with irreversible outcome. I sincerely hope this was just an accident and I am looking forward to seeing this is how is going to turn out. Thank you.
