The dentist gave me great confidence in the treatment I was getting. He was professional, maintaining an extremely high standard of care. He was also very caring, went above and beyond to help me during a difficult time.

  2. Review titled Great dentist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Astrid Thompson - Posted on 20 March 2025

I phoned on Wednesday with toothache and got an appointment for the next day, Thursday -- seeing my normal practitioner. He put me at ease straight away, checked everything out, explained what was going on and made a plan of how to approach the problem. I feel I'm in professional, caring hands. Thank you!

  3. Review titled Love the Dentist and Hygienist I use

They understand that I am nervous at the dentist; they listen and they take care. All of the staff I deal with are very friendly. They also took me straight on as an Ex Military individual.

  6. Review titled Fantastic for nervous patients!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Samantha Larner - Posted on 10 February 2025

I am terrified of the dentist, so going is usually a traumatic experience, that was until I was told how good this practice is with nervous patients like me. I had to have a dreaded root canal today & was honestly terrified, but right through from the kind receptionists to the amazing nurse & the patient & understanding Dentist they all put me at ease & made the process pain free, calm & a positive experience despite my fear. I am so very grateful to them all, for their kindness, patience & understanding with my anxiety & previous bad experiences, they really did turn my frown upside down!! I can't recommend this Dental practice enough, especially if you are a nervous nelly like me!!

  8. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Everyone was really helpful, professional and friendly - from the front desk to the people supporting the practitioners to the hygienist and dentist. Everything ran to time, in fact we were ahead of time on both back to back appointments. I had some terrible toothache that was diagnosed and treated all within 45 minutes of me arriving, including a full clean up with the hygienist. I would highly recommend.

  9. Review titled Communication could be improved

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had a dentist appointment booked for both myself and my 18month old. This would be his first experience of the dentist. There was no communication with me during the appointment of how to best involve my son with this process. They wanted to look in my son’s mouth first and he was very unsure and upset. The dentist then looked at my mouth first of which I received no information or communication about the condition of my teeth or oral health after inspection. They then tried to look at my son’s mouth again but he was very upset. I asked if they had any tips or tricks to help with a situation like this - of which there wasn’t much of a response. The assistant had tried stickers. I was mostly surprised with the lack of communication about what was seen in my mouth and of what the dentist could or couldn’t see in my son’s mouth/advice for looking after a child’s teeth. I completely understand my son’s reaction was not their issue, but was surprised/concerned that I left the very quick appointment with no knowledge of what was seen by the dentist. I then had a hygienist appointment straight after. The hygienist was very good at communicating what she was doing, what she had seen and about follow up care. During our appointment however, the assistant that had supported during my dentist appointment came into the room, went over to the hygienist’s assistant and they immediately began laughing and whispering and giggling about something, all whilst I was having my teeth cleaned by the hygienist. It just made me feel a bit uncomfortable and that this type of behaviour is unprofessional. When I went to pay, I should have asked for a breakdown of what I had paid for, but didn’t. I had felt a bit flustered from my appointment where my son had got quite upset. Maybe a breakdown in what patients are paying for would be useful information especially if they have received more than one service. I was offered a receipt but declined. On my previous visit before this one, about 6-9 months before, staff had been complaining about working conditions/hours amongst other things in reception whilst I was waiting for my appointment. It came across that staff were unhappy with what they were being asked to do and how they were being asked to work, which again, made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I have another appointment booked in for 6 months time, but am considering looking for a different dental practice even though I really like the care I receive from my current hygienist.

  10. Review titled Great Team!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Shirley Roberts - Posted on 29 October 2024

Having had a crown fall out last night I phoned Dental Care Amersham, my dental surgery for many years now, this morning and was fitted in straight away to see the emergency dentist. He was extremely pleasant and professional and was thankfully able to replace my crown. I have always found the staff and dentists at this practise to be extremely helpful and they will always try to fit you in if you have a problem.
