    On the one hand, the service at this dental practice is good - but only if you're willing to pay private. I'm eligible for free NHS dental care and am registered with them as an NHS patient. They have charged (or tried to charge) me for private fees three times, and at no time have they suggested that they were doing so. There was no suggestion of 'on the NHS you can pay £X but we can offer a better service if you have the private care and pay £X'. It was simply 'the price is £X' with no explanation or transparency about why it cost so much. On top of that, they have also made me pay for the top tier NHS charge when I did not need to do so - I was told I needed a custom fitted mouth guard when I in no way did. You need to be able to trust that your dentist is offering you the best and most appropriate care, at a price that relates to whether you are a private or NHS patient. I no longer trust this dental practice and do not believe their diagnoses. I like this dental practice but the underhanded way that they try to get as much money out of you as possible without being transparent has left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) and I will be switching to another practice. Even if I have to go private, at least I will be choosing to pay for private care rather than being fooled into it.

    They mention that they are taking NHS patients. Upon calling them they say they have more than 400 patients waiting to be taken on their list. Then they offer a private consultation. This is a disgusting marketing technique using government sources.
