Despite showing as accepting new NHS was completely refused any acceptance, offering emergency only.

Please be aware that we are only able to take a number of NHS patients per week- there can only be a certain quota that we are able to fulfil on a weekly basis. This quota can fill very quickly. It is therefore misleading to state that we are not taking on NHS patients as our page indicates. In order to balance the need of patients and improve access, you would have been offered an emergency appointment. It is advisable to ring back next week when availability reopens. To reiterate, we are taking on new NHS patients of a specific amount per week and are able to supplement this with NHS emergency access too. I hope this has clarified the matter. Please do contact the practice should you have any further concerns.

Was told accepting new nhs patients and given appointment. To get there and be told it’s up to the dentist on the day if he takes you on refused a sign up as nhs but told I could join at a fee of £75 per 15mins. Terrible.

I’m very sorry to read this review regarding your experience at our practice. We are taking on new NHS patients but have been very overwhelmed with the demand. We are required to see a minimum amount of new patients a week but have in reality seen five times as many due to the demand. As a practice we are trying hard to maintain a service for our current patient base and see new NHS patients too. It is a very challenging situation but we are committed to meeting our responsibilities in a way that enables us to provide an effective and safe service. I am unable to comment on your case but would welcome you to contact the practice so that we can discuss it further. We have a robust procedure in dealing with patient concerns and welcome feedback so that we are able to address your concerns in a professional and proactive way.
