So I had an appointment due today at 10:10am 1st may 2023, down as a checkup. I have been suffering with excruciating pain throughout multiple of my bottom teeth, leaving my chin swollen and painful to touch, as well as me not being able to eat or talk properly. I was advised by 111 to request an “emergency one off dental appointment” this was the day before my appointment so I thought I would bring these issues up then to see if they could tell me what the problem was. An hour before I was due to be seen I recieve a phone call, explaining I am now a private patient due to not showing the last 2 appointments. However the last appointment I missed I had just had a newborn was still in hospital and my partner called and let them know on my behalf I couldn’t make it obviously. However they have still kicked me off??? I explained all this to the lady on the phone and I was told “you wouldn’t be able to sort the problem in a 10 minute checkup anyway” I though this was so rude and told me it would cost £65 or £67 for the regular 10 min checkup or £79 for an emergency appointment!!! I’m 19 and now being left with no dentist and sat in excruciating pain another day! I just couldn’t believe it this morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. Would avoid at all costs rude staff, definitely just after money now by the looks of things I have been registered here as a younger teenager but recently and by the looks of other reviews I’m not the only one that thinks this definitely avoid and take yourself elsewhere, a regular checkup with other private dentists range from £50-£60 and get more for your money!!! And emergencies are taken way more serious
