I tried to make appointment for my broken tooth for more than a month. They put me on waiting list because my dentist is left. I am so upset

I had a set of bottom dentures fitted. Unfortunately before they could be made to fit properly the dentist resigned. I have had problems with dentures but can’t get them fixed, I keep getting told they’re trying to recruit another NHS type dentist. Surely someone has the expertise to fix my problem. I have been on phone but am having no luck.

There is currently a recognised nationwide shortage of dentists across the UK which is causing delays or difficulty in booking appointments.
