Called for a check-up appointment 2 years after my last, only to be told they employed all the NHS dentists as private. Then go on to say they struggled to replace them with NHS dentists so behind on routine NHS appointments, with 11,000 patients currently waiting. I agree with the other feedback on here, they are going private by stealth and a greedy practice. Would rather pay privately elsewhere than be subject to these tactics.

Never have routine appointment because of lack of NHS dentists. Make appointment for 2 months in the future and they cancel a couple of days before appointment. They say to ring Monday morning if you are in pain or email for an appointment but do not answer the phone or respond to emails. If you want to pay for private treatment no problem. This practice is going private by stealth. Unfortunately there are no dentists in the Wakefield MDC area willing to take on new patients. What happened to NHS free at the point of contact, after paying National Insurance payments for 40 years this is what we have come to.
