Since pre-Covid practically every one of my appointments has been cancelled by the practice for various reasons from the Dentist being on holiday to an admin mistake they have made (when I turned up to find my appointment had accidentally been cancelled) to the Dentist has left. On all occasions I have been told someone will contact me to rebook When a dentist becomes available yet months pass and no one does and I have had to chase Several times before I get anywhere. My last appointment was at the beginning of this year, and as expected a week or so before I received a cancellation text. I have since been phoning and have got nowhere and I am still awaiting a new Dentist From them. They tell me my Dentist has left the practice and I need to await a new dentist to start in their place. They then tell me my Dentist is still at the practice but has gone private And I can see them for the same treatment in the Same Dentist chair but pay for It privately at which point they will then take me off the NHS list. Ridiculous. They also tell me that I cannot be seen by another Dentist at that practice, even if they had a space available as each Dentist keeps to their own list of patients.

Very prompt and thorough exam - I felt I was looked after very well. I wasn’t impressed with having to wait on the doorstep in the freezing cold with other quite elderly patients as the door was locked until 2.00 - surely it wouldn’t hurt to let people wait inside in the warm.

When I arrived for my appointment the receptionist told me to wait in the waiting room and after 10 minutes past my appointment time I enquired with reception. I was told by a different receptionist to go up stairs and wait outside room number five, apparently this is what I should have been told when I first arrived, having never had to do this on previous occasions! I feel there was a lack of communication.

Dentist taking time to discuss my current situation, review my progress and further treatment plan. Giving me a variety of options and explain everything really well. Thorough examination and treatment, always made sure I was coping with the discomfort.

As usual my visit was conducted thoroughly with care and understanding. The appropriate findings and explanation of the results of my examination were given in a very comprehensive way. All making a pleasant experience of a sometimes daunting necessity.

Although I arrived at least 5 minutes before my appointment time I had to wait outside until the staff came back from lunch and then was asked to go to the waiting room without being booked in. After 10 minutes I decided somebody should’ve come to me by then and I went back to reception which resulted in my booking in but only after an unnecessary delay .

On arrival very scared of what to expect but the dentist and assistant were first class. After nearly 80 mins in the chair I still felt that the team were both so caring and very professional. Thank you so much for taking care of me.
