They go out of their way to help you if you need an appointment or are in pain and try their best to fit you in. On the downside it would be nice to know how much you have to pay beforehand for example when you expect band 1 charges and then it turns out to be band 2 at £70.70 when you have £134 ESA a week to live on.

I was impressed with the dentist who opened up the downstairs surgery when he realised I had a problem with going up the steps.

The receptionist was very helpful, when I requested to move my twin to be seen earlier and the dentist was charging the time for us and all 3 has been seen at the same time. Thanks

Dentist was lovely, very kind and caring attitude. Gave a prescription which unfortunately she had not stamped or signed, so had to return it to the surgery. Although the hours are advertised as continuous, it was in fact locked shut for a hour for lunch. Receptionist was there, but was unable to open the door. Unfortunately I had tried to contact practice previously due to a broken tooth. Spoke with someone at 9.03 and was told to expect a call back after 10. Didn’t receive one at all, phoned back at 4pm to be told no appointments had been found. Queried why no-one had called back to be told appointments had been given to those who called first. When I queried that I had called at 9.03 so must have been one of the first there was no response. (I got an appointment through 101 later that day). This morning I have called at 09.00 for ongoing toothache and no response again, it is now 11.25 and no call back again. I have also had a situation where after phoning all day I ended up driving to the practice, where the receptionist said she had been too busy to answer the phone, despite there being no-one waiting in reception. As a (respectful) suggestion, if reception are too busy to answer calls/return calls etc then maybe the practice needs to up staffing there? As although the reception staff are lovely when you speak to them, if they are so overwhelmed that they can’t answer or return calls maybe their workload is too high? Unfortunately this then reflects back on the whole practice.
