Review titled Do not answer the phones!!!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Dominic Carroll - Posted on 02 June 2024
I contacted 111 for emergency treatment. They gave me this dentist contact number, they did not answer the phone, a message directed me back to 111. 111 directed me back to this dentist. It is a Sunday morning and they clearly don't have staff manning the phones. I am not going to have to go to A&E

From start to finish it was overall a great process, from the initial cal with eds, to attending the dental access service, to meeting the dental practitioner. They(the dentist and assistant) took great care of me and eased my worries, now while I cannot say the procedure was completely painless it was at a bearable level and considering I have an acute fear of dental practices in general, I have to say I am quite pleased and would highly reccomend it to family and friend from out of town and those without access to a local dentist. they were magnificent. 10/10

Review titled Not Helpful
Rated 2 stars out of 5

About 4 weeks ago on a Saturday morning my front crown fell out. I called various "Emergency" dentists. One phone number I was repeatidly told to call was this one for Dental Access Service on Whitegate Drive Blackpool. When I phoned they said they "Did not put teeth back in". They just wanted to know if I had any pain or swelling and to call my own dentist. I said I had not been to my dentist for a long time because I have panic attacks during treatment and I was not sure if I was still a patient. They advised me to contact them to find out. When I did, they said I had been "Deregistered" as I had not been for over 5 years and they were now only taking private patients. I am still trying to find an NHS dentist in Blackpool. I am also looking at private dentists who have dental plans you can pay monthly as it might be my only choice. I am 60 years old, unemployed and can not get dental treatment unless I pay for an appointment. It is a disgrace!

I have tried to contact them for an emergency appointment, I have been on the phone for hours trying to get through, I have made a lot of calls and they have kept me waiting for long periods of time and then they contantly hang up the call. Such a disgusting service by people who have no interesting in helping others, they seriously need investigating.
