Review titled Very Poor
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 September 2024
There are no dentists at this dental practice! My crown had broken and needed an urgent replacement. I was told it would take 7 weeks to get an appointment when the dentist would next be visiting. I was in pain, but this was the best they had to offer. Very poor and unprofessional.

My spouse was extremely unhappy with the treatment provided. No problems when my spouse went there. Weeks of pain afterwards. Won’t go near the place again.

Review titled What Dentist?
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 June 2024
I registered with this practise about six months ago and went for an initial examination - this turned out to be with a dental technician - he examined me, stated that a lot of treatment is needed (no arguments there - extractions, fillings and dentures. I was then informed that they didn’t currently actually have a dentist so they would put me on the waiting list for when they got one (I paid for the examination). I rang today to be told that they still don’t have a dentist (but no doubt are still taking on patients). I was still on the waiting list. This is a large group of dentist practises. Do none of them have dentists? Surely this isn’t the way the service is supposed to work. My patience is running thin, my teeth are getting worse, they don’t appear to care

Review titled Would avoid...
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a terrible experience with this practice. There are no actual dentists practicing there, which they are not upfront about. I had a filling done which went wrong with terrible pain afterwards. I rang and reception did not offer me an immediate appointment. I then had to go to another branch where the actual dentist is not approved by the NHS so I had to sign a waiver, which I did feeling very vulnerable and desperate after over a week of terrible pain. They couldn't treat it on the day. I rang later to ask for another appointment and was told I would be rung back...which never happened. All in all sub-par care and terrible service.

I had a session with the most patient and caring hygienist this afternoon (09/06/2024 @15:30). The hygienist and her colleague were simply superb.

Review titled Can never speak to anyone on the telephone
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Dock - Posted on 07 July 2024
My review is the same as many others, you ring the Practice, call No. 15 eventually down to 1 or 2 then the phone goes dead. When I visit in person and ask if there is a problem with the phones as I can never get through they always (very politely) say no. The Dentist suggested that I needed a scale and polish and recommended I make an appointment with the Hygienist, I said I understood a scale and polish was included within the check up if necessary, he said I was wrong but having checked with the NHS, they said that when I have a check up the price includes a scale and polish if required.

Review titled Not suitable for wheelchair users
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Vanessa - Posted on 19 March 2024
In spite of it saying it has disability access and disabled parking it does not. The parking is near by public parking. There is a steep ramp squeezed in at the entrance (which is at the back of the building) which I had to get out of my wheelchair to access & get through. The practice itself is so cramped negotiating it with a wheelchair is almost impossible. Might be an OK dentist for those who don't mind cramped, crowded, noisy waiting areas & don't need a wheelchair etc but not for those who have mobility issues or have sensory issues in such environments. As I am a wheelchair user I will never know.

Review titled Does anyone ever answer the phone or email
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 February 2024
My experience is similar to many others, the most recent call made I was No 15 in queue approximate wait 20 mins, got to No 2 and telephone went dead, rang again No 2 in queue 5 mins wait, hooray I thought until 20 minutes later when I reached No 1 the telephone went dead. I have emailed but still no response. I have been registered with them for nearly two years and had to wait one year to get an appointment for a check up. The only time I can ever speak to anyone is if I drive into Eastleigh and walk in the Practice; having said that when you do visit the Practice, the Dentists and admin staff are very pleasant. How are businesses especially those being paid by the NHS i.e. me and you allowed to get away which such appalling service? Perhaps they could arrange for one person to answer phones on specific days if they cannot afford to pay for a full-time person; of course, they would need to let us know which day to ring.

Review titled Payment upfront then treatment cancelled
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 May 2024
Appointments cancelled often on the day, sometimes with an hour's notice.the company insist on payment upfront for treatments and then the patient is unable to get a refund when the service isn't provided. They will make you fill out the same form countless times, give you excuses and promises, but the truth is...you won't get your money back.this company needs investigating..

Review titled They don't respond
Rated 2 stars out of 5

This practice is impossible to contact by telephone. The manager has told me this - he is too busy to bother having anyone on the phone lines. This tends to result in being sat on-hold with your call in "position number 1" in the queue and an automated message informing of "your estimated wait time is five minutes". It is not, on one occasion, it was 90 minutes before an automated message was played to say that the practice was shut. This is the same experience as both a private and NHS patient. This practice used to be quite good, it now provides a very poor service.
