I was only in the chair about 2 minutes. The dentist blew some air over my teeth, told me they were great and gave me some free toothpaste and a voucher. I paid £25.80 for a 2 minute chat about the festivals I've been to. She was lovely but I was so shocked that she didn't actually examine my teeth that I just thanked her and came away. That was not a check up !

Visited for a check up for first time in 13 months as they said they had no NHS availability before that. Very disappointed with the actual check up as it lasted barely 15 seconds, although some x rays were taken. Was told to book an appointment with a hygienist at the end, but no reason for this was given. However, told at reception that would cost a further £50 to £70 depending on time taken, whereas previously a scale and polish was done within the band A NHS charge, and at the time of the check up, so not sure what has changed? Overall not impressed.

Very nervous at dentist's but hygienist today was brilliant....she deserves five stars but hard to give when whole dental concept makes me feel ill.

I was very pleased with my visit at the dentist today.I felt very comfortable with the dentist and her staff.i was treated with respect and my problems listened to.

I’ve been waiting 14months for an appointment to be rearrange after they cancelled my appointment in February 2022, I’ve visited 3 times now to try and arrange an appointment to be told I’m on the waiting list, visited today to be told they have no NHS dentist this is the first time I have been informed about this, but they will happily take my money to go private.

I have used the Eastwood practice since 2005 and have always been happy with the service received. Usually my teeth are fine and just need a light clean which the dentist does during the check up. Staff have always been very pleasant with good conversation to put me at ease. Today however things changed for the worse, I was shown through to the chair and the dentist who was tapping away on his computer failed to acknowledge I was there and continued ignoring me for what seemed an age. Finally when starting the examination communication remained poor with no hint or encouragement of how my dental care was going. After an X-ray then further prodding I was told to pay more attention to flossing /brushing and could see hygienist optional which I later found would cost another £59 Further to that he tells me I need another check in 6 months despite nothing being wrong and previous intervals have been 12 months Truly miserable experience with a truly miserable dentist

I have been a patient for nearly 30 years. I had 2 teeth filled a few weeks ago and one has fallen out. I rang up this morning to get it fixed an was told that I will have to wait 7 months or pay privately However if I did I cannot go back to being an n.h.s. patient. That is a disgrace and I'm really appalled that so many dentist's appear to be getting away with such practices. Is this the beginning of the end for the Health service as we know it? I do hope not.

After needing a crown I got a quick appointment to be seen and a plan in place. The staff on reception was very professional and thorough in calling me to keep me updated. The dentist explained everything and put me at ease knowing I'm scared. Would recommend to friends and family.
