    My son ethan lignum has been a regular attender at this practice for many years. He cancelled his check up appointment due to university schedule. He made another check up appointment which he failed to attend and only remembered a few hours later. A phone call from the practice was made to myself i found the attitude from the gentleman very rude and abrupt i gave apology. i understand that it was an error on his part but was made to feel very unconfutable. I asked if he could make another appointment but was given a long statement regarding nhs regulations. i contacted the nhs dental procedures on 1 failed appointment and was told it was wrong information as one was cancelled and one failed. as a nhs worker myself i feel the practice needs to re look at the nhs regulations and give out the correct information. And have better communication and polite gestures while dealing with patients.

    Dear S Delahunt, Thank you for your feedback. I am the Practice Manager and I am really sorry to hear about your experience at Gorton Dental Practice. I will ensure that the reception staff show considerable improvement in the future and take on board your feedback. Better communication and polite gestures while dealing with patients is our top priority at all times. However, I will further insist on the reception staff to make sure they are always polite while dealing with the patients. I have checked the records and unfortunately the patient failed to attend 2 appointments in the same month. We have displayed our cancellation policy in the waiting area so that all patients are well informed. It is our aim to provide efficient dental care to all our patients and this can only be achieved through implementation of our cancellation policy.
