I guess it is understandable to have to wait 6 months for an appointment after registration in the current climate. However I was not expecting to have to pay £80 for my first check up. As a PIP claimant I should have at least been offered an NHS receipt form FP64, which would allow me to claim a HC5 refund. The worst part was that I was offered treatment to extract a partially erupted tooth for £500, on the condition that I researched and attended a very specific type of x-ray at my own expense! As an NHS patient I expect a referral to a practice or specialist that can perform the x-ray and procedure at the very least. On my way out, I noticed the very expensive cars in the Dentists' car park spaces. From my experience and reading the other reviews, clearly these people are only in it for the money and have very little empathy for their patients. I'm sure I will get the standard 'email me' response, but that is not good enough. I do not want to speak to you after my awful experience, instead I want to read what you are doing to improve your practice in response to my review.

I went for a check up this morning with the newly appointed dentist. He took time to introduce himself and gave full explanations of what was happening with my teeth together with advice of on-going care.

Went there for a few fillings and an upper denture. Denture was made poorly as the manager claimed and two of my teeth were destroyed from digging too deep for fillings. Paid for the dentures and 6 months later even though I never got them, still waiting for a refund. Embarrassingly bad for NHS
