Review titled Great friendly practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

After reading all the negative reviews before coming here thought it was only right to leave positive experience. Attended 3 times since joining here in February and each time the receptionist have been welcoming and always called in to appointment on time or even early . The building inside isnt the best however its clearly going through renovations and improves each time I visit . Last visit was for a filling and the dentist talked through this and other possible options before completing the filling which was painless and comfortable .

Review titled Quality of care in this practice is going down the hill
Rated 2 stars out of 5

My wife had a tooth filling recently (paid the NHS fees)and it came out the next day itself into powdery small pieces. Rang them about their failed treatment and told them about suffering from pain and sensitivity .The dentist can see her the same day, only as private patient if she agree to pay £80 more. Otherwise she has to call next day in the morning at 8:30 am and check whether she can get an appointment. It used to be a very good dental practice but all the good dentists we used to see have gone. May be it is a new management which has taken over this practice.

Good service at the dentist today, I was a little nervous but my dentist was very caring and professional. Not had a deep clean before, very happy with my treatment, teeth looking great. The receptionist friendly and welcoming. The surgery very clean.

Review titled Helpful and efficient
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I rang up with extreme tooth ache and pain, the receptionist was great and got me in on the day. I was seen by a very friendly dentist. He did an X ray and it showed I needed a wisdom tooth extracted. They referred me urgently under the NHS, I then got my emergency appointment for the extraction within 10 days. After the complicated extraction, I had severe tooth ache again 5 days later. I rang up the reception, once again this got me in on the same day and saw the same dentist. I was very impressed with how approachable and efficient he was. Once the dental practice has been fully refurbished it seems it will be modern and much better than it used to be. Overall, very impressed.

Review titled Positive Experience

I arrived slightly early for my 11.15am Saturday appointment & whilst I did have to wait a little for my appointment, due to my specific dentist running slightly behind schedule, once my tooth extraction procedure began to its conclusion took approximately 10min (inc injections). The extraction was pain free, efficient procedure performed by a professional & friendly dentist - well worth the wait.

Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Rang at 6.30 Monday evening , 15/4/2024 having just suffered a broken tooth. Spoke to a very pleasant receptionist who offered me an appointment at 9. 25 the next day. Arrived early, asked to wait in the new waiting area.. called by the dental assistant ahead of my appointment time and was escorted to the new dental surgery on the top floor. Greeted by a very pleasant and affable young dentist who examined me, explained my options and offered his professional advice. He then gave me the appropriate treatment and I paid the agreed NHS fee downstairs at the new reception area, leaving the surgery about 5 mins after my allotted surgery appointment time. It was confirmed that I had an appointment booked for 6 months time. Hanover Dental Surgery is in the process of huge renovations and is therefore currently not at its best visually .The improvements being made will no doubt ultimately offer a bright modern surgery with up to date technology and having more dental surgeries, provide treatment for many of the local residents who are finding it hard to access dental treatments.

I hant been the dentist for quite some time and had chipped my filling I called the surgery and the reception staff were so helpful they asked a few questions and booked me in within 2 weeks to see the technician who could do repairs, 2 week later I came for my appointment again the reception staff were fabulous. I was called in to see the technician she took an x-ray and checked all my teeth during my consultation then booked me in the next day to repair my filling just fabulous service. I will be definitely returning for my routine check up in October thank you so much everyone.

Review titled Ridiculous wait times and they leave you unseen
Rated 1 star out of 5
by KMcMullen - Posted on 04 March 2024
I attended the dentist on 02/03/2024 after waiting 5 weeks for the appointment for a broken tooth extraction. I arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time and was told they were running behind. I understood as this happens sometimes. However after 2 hours of waiting, I went to speak to reception to find that everyone had left for the day and had the builders not still been in the building I would have been locked in. I completed an online form as there is no email address and have been ignored thus far.

Review titled This Dental practice needs closing down

Absolutely disgusting and filthy oval, bare wires handing from ceiling. Unplastererd walls and ceilings, holes in floors, stair banister loose, open suerage toilet with no toilet just waste pipes, doors hanging off their hinges that were dental rooms, no health and safety regulations adeared to, including fire regulations, no waiting room so people cueing up on two stairways, 11 people I counted, Damp and smelly, I did not get treatment I walked out after 5 minutes because I have seen cleaner facilities at building sites and abandoned buildings.. I have payed my taxes all my life and am disgusted that at this day and age we have reverted to a third world dental care service provided by the NHS.
