Review titled Incorrect treatments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 January 2025
Went with toothaches, dentist had a look with scans etc and said tooth was healthy and needed hygiene appointment as the problem was plaque build up. Was told there was a chip in the tooth but will not cause any nerve damage as the chip is a little. 2 weeks later still had same pain. Went to an emergency dentist and was told straight away I had a fracture and needed emergency tooth extraction! They had said I was suffering from nerve damage all these weeks. Would not recommend high street dental practice.

Hello, I hope this review reading ovner this surgery. Yes,I have outstanding balance, and I try pay how best I can. But few weeks a go they call me and said me,they cancelled appointments for my daughters, because I'm still in outstanding balance,it was decision manager this surgery. I think its not fair for my daughters, she not should be mixed my children's in that. This appointments was booked about 6months a go. Now I need go to private appointments, because any surgery in Bedford don't have space for new patients.

Review titled Lovely practice

I have been coming to this dentist for 10 years perhaps, never had a problem with my treatment. I see a wonderful older male dentist, he always gives my teeth a bit of a clean where needed, and takes time to explain my teeth and any issues. I go for my scheduled check up every 6 months, and I do take care of my teeth. However my partner also goes here and she has a very friendly lady dentist and she had a terrible gag reflex and now very good teeth and the dentist is wonderful with her. She is kind and patient and takes her time - especially with things like X-rays which can be very difficult for my wife to tolerate. They also always manage to get her in within a week when she has had an emergency.

Review titled NHS patient and Exemption centrificates
Rated 1 star out of 5

The following is based on a telephone conversation I had with the management team at the dental practice. I enquired what a NHS tax exemption certificate covers under their practice. The Individual explained that things like dentures and fillings, I asked what about cleaning, scalling and polishing. The management replied no as the hygienist completes deep cleaning. The person explained that a basic clean is a "superficial" clean and a deeper clean is recommended to be completed by the hygienist. I was also told that NHS patients still have to pay for a deeper clean as it is not covered under the certificate. I spoke to the NHSBSA help line to find out what I am covered for under the certificate and I was informed any NHS dentist recommendation or work is covered under Band 2 and the dentist or practice can use the certificate to cover this cost. The practice seems to push you towards a hygienist and would like you to pay for it even if you are a NHS patient and you have a valid exemption certificate. My simple query is why is this dental practice allowed to take on NHS patients and then deny their exemption rights? I would not recommend this practice at all.
