  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Ive had many positive visits to Hoylake Dental Practice ,the staff are always welcoming and professional. The practice is well maintained and very comfortable, which immediately put me at ease. The dentist was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything, answering all of my questions with patience and care. The treatment itself was painless, and I left feeling confident in the care I received. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist. NHS practices are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain due to high demand and hoylake dental practice in my experience has always managed to maintain an excellent level service.

  3. Review titled Chaotic appointment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have been a patient of this practice since 2017. I enjoyed a very good relationship with him and staff until my dentist retired. Since his retirement this has not been the case and I have noticed a marked deterioration all- round in the speed of check-ups and the immediate recourse to outlining charges for services which were once don0e under the NHS for example a £50 charge for "an appointment" with a dental hygienist, presumably for a scale and polish which was previously undertaken under the NHS and by the dentist. Today, I received, after having to press the dentist for information, the news from the dentist of a possibly catastrophically dental issue for which only a verbal diagnosis was offered. It is referred to on the treatment plan only as "Perio" abbreviation for a very serious and chronic condition. Prognosis did not come into the conversation and a written diagnosis outlining the need, schedule and content of further treatment seemingly cannot be given until I write to the practice which I intend to do.

  4. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 3 stars out of 5

After being a patient for over 20 years and receiving great service from the dentists on site its such a shame to have been treated so badly by quite frankly a revolting receptionist this morning. Through the pandemic I paused my check ups temporarily as was not considered a 'necessary risk' at the time. Therefore when I was later to book my check up was told I have been removed, very rude in manner but I thought okay no problem. In enquired about a wait list, was told the waitlist hadn't even been looked at in months and would not be reviewed until the end of this month, I said okay how many people are on the wait list and how long am I expecting to wait, 6 months a year 5 years you know do you have a ball park figure. She then told me 'How long is a piece of string' I answered by saying surely its not a piece of string for you, you work there if you don't know who does? So all together I have had great service from the dentists over the years as has all of my family, its a shame they have a revolting creature who has no idea what she should be doing in her job role on the front desk as front of house, she has been at the practice for years and if she has been rude to me on on multiple occasions I imagine she treats everyone the same. The dentist can be an intimidating place and having such vile service straight from the get go is a huge let down. Wonderful dentists of Hoylake Dental Practice, your receptionist is really letting you down!

  5. Review titled Rude receptionist.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

the majority of the staff here are lovely. However there is one particular receptionist who i have had the misfortune to speak to quite a few times who is rude. Just plain rude. You don't know what people are going through - just be nice. You're being paid to provide a service, not upset people.
