    I am 71, and have family in London. My dental practice in Devon stopped taking NHS patients and I phoned this practice in February to see if they could take me on and I could book appointments to coincide with visits to my grand children. The dentist explained this was possible and placed me on their waiting list. I was very surprised (and delighted!) when she called me in April to book an initial appointment and I booked my train ticket. Although she did not usually work on Fridays she made an exception for me on this first appointment. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and had a complete examination and x ray. It is important that I mention that I while I have regularly attended dentists through my life, I have, until this appointment, always suffered from acute anxiety as soon as the chair reclines. Her examination, and cleaning was thorough, but she took time to identify and address my panic triggers. She was calm, friendly and very professional. I very much felt respected as an individual and not just a mouth of teeth. I wanted to write this review as I feel I experienced the very best of NHS dentistry and (something I have never ever said before) I look forward to my follow up appointment in November.

    I was recommended this dental practice 20 years ago and continue to attend. My last appointment I continued to receive the compassionate and effective care shown by the dentist following up with me outside of office hours.
