Review titled Difficult to get appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2024
Really poor service from this dentist. Never used to be as bad. Tried calling for an appointment but it kept going to an automated message to email them or leave a voicemail. Each time I called. Same thing. Still not heard back and still suffering with pain! There needs to be a better way to get patients seen! Also, on NHS, seems like they try to rush a lot and don't even offer numbing all the time to ease the discomfort. Makes going to the dentist 10 times worse than it already is. Need to do better for your patients.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear of your discomfort, and difficulty in obtaining an appointment. I find it difficult to understand why, if you visited the surgery in November (as stated on the review) you were not given an appointment at the time. Since you have chosen to make the comment anonymously it’s difficult for me to be more specific. Our telephone appointment system goes to an automated message after 2 minutes only if both receptionists are busy with patients. The reason we suggest emailing is to avoid wasting your time and money by having to wait in a long queue as we have a dedicated team member responding to emails. As you can imagine it can sometimes take a while for patients to decide on an appointment date and time options over the phone leading to long wait times. If you'd still like to make an appointment please email us directly, reception@imperialcollegedental.co.uk and we would be happy to arrange an appointment for you. Kind Regards, IC Dental Team

Dear Silva, Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry for that you had a bad customer experience at our surgery. Unfortunately, we do not have the facility to send text reminders, and we no longer have the capacity to call all patients to remind them of their appointments due to the enormous patient pool, and large call volume we get each day. However, our system is automated to send out appointment reminders for all appointments via email, a week before and a day before your appointment. Looking at your records, we see that we have sent you these automatic reminder via email on 02/05/2024 and 08/05/2024 (a day prior to your appointment). Hope this clarifies things, and would help prevent missing any appointments in the future. Kind Regards, IC Dental Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Brian Reynolds - Posted on 27 May 2023
I have been a patient for several years and am always happy to visit. The team are friendly and professional. The environment is fresh, bright and spotless. The dentists are very thorough and always take the time to explain what they are doing, and make sure that I’m comfortable. I can’t recommend this practice more highly! They make going to the dentist a comfortable and stress free experience. Thank you to the whole team!

Review titled Completely uncontactable
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 16 November 2022
It is as if the practice has closed down but left its answering machine switched on. Trying for a few weeks now to get in touch. By phone I spend 2 minutes on hold every time and then it goes to voicemail. By e-mail there is no response. By message submitted on their website there is no response. Yet the website indicates they are still operating. Quite apart from my own difficulties, I have no idea how they are actually able to run the practice when they are not contactable.
