    I was an NHS patient but was taken off after covid lockdowns prevented my attendance, however today (16/01/25) I received a text from them saying they had nhs appointments and to get in touch. I tried call all morning but the call never went through, once I got through in the afternoon I was informed this was from their head office and they didn’t have any NHS places but could offer private plans. Clear and obvious marketing attempt to get private business by waving the carrot of rightful NHS care. Incredibly sly and backhanded and indicative of the broken nature of dental care in England. Truly frustrating.

    Dear Richard I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the services here at JEM. As you can imagine we have had a high influx of calls to the practice since our Support Centre sent out the messages to say we had "limited availability of NHS places". We can only offer NHS appointments when we have the capacity to do so. We do have clinicians who also offer private appointments and also you have the option to join us as a member of the practice on our membership scheme, which was also offered. At JEM Dental we are here to offer NHS, membership and private services when we have the capacity to do so. I am sorry for the frustration this has caused you.     I was told my app was 2.55 in person and by text then received another text saying 3.05 they do not anser phone when phoning up so went fo 2.55 was seen at 3.30 a joke

    Amazing service after a terrible visit elsewhere that told me i needed allsorts doing. Turns out i need none of that. Even took an xray to make sure. Thanks ?

    Waited 50 mins for appointment after asking if there was a delay on check in and been told 10/15 minutes. I don’t mind waiting but I’d have liked transparency. I was then told by the dentist to book back in in 3 months time to be told by reception this wasn’t possible and to ring back in ‘a few months’

    I felt very comfortable from the moment the dentist started. She listened to me and answered my questions. I appreciate dentists taking on NHS work must be very busy but she was very friendly and I didn’t feel like my appointment was rushed.
