  1. Review titled First class service on Boxing Day

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 December 2024

Following a difficult tooth extraction in Manchester two weeks previously, I was in Kendal for Christmas. Overnight I became unwell with a temperature, pain, swelling and a nasty taste in my mouth. I was in despair as it was Boxing Day and thought it would be impossible to get treatment. However I called the dental helpline and was given an appointment within 20 minutes at the Dental Clinic. On arrival I completed the necessary paperwork then was seen straightaway. The socket was numbed, irrigated and cleaned. I was prescribed antibiotics which I collected from nearby Asda. The dental team were brilliant. Friendly and professional. 48 hours later I am feeling much better and the socket is finally healing properly. Thank you so much.

  2. Review titled Tried to be helpful

Rated 1 star out of 5

The dentist I've seen here previously has been amazing. Warm, friendly and really understanding and empathetic. After completing the patient form today I was sent a txt with a link to an online version of the form and was told it was a new system. The link was broken so I let the staff know so they could feed that back to the IT team, trying to be helpful. I was asked by the dentist why I didn't just copy and paste the link so I explained that I could, but perhaps it could be fixed for others. The dentist then accused me of being rude; despite my attempts to explain and move on from the subject they wouldn't let it go. Only when I was on the verge of tears did they then let it go and ask me to sit down. By that point I was a wreck and calmly left. I had told them at the desk about my anxiety when asked and also put it down on the patient form, yet the idea of trusting someone to stick needles in my mouth after such an unnecessarily combative interaction... Absolutely appalling.

  3. Review titled Brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am very impressed with the whole service. I contacted my own dentist first thing with awful pain in my wisdom tooth and unfortunately they were full. I was advised to contact the dental service by ringing after 5.30. I rang and spoke to a lovely sympathetic woman who apologied as she couldn’t get me an appointment but would put me on a cancellation list. Not long after I was called back with an appointment local to me. I was then phoned again from the dental service who said I could come sooner. I arrived and was told welcomed by a lovely receptionist. my dentist and dental nurse were brilliant! so welcoming and put me at ease straight away. everything was explained to me and i before i knew it the tooth was extracted. i would recommend the service to anyone! thank you
