Review titled Amazing Dental Therapist / Hygienist - composite bonding
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 August 2023
Wonderful dentist! Highly recommended. A massive thank you to the dental therapist/hygienist, she is super friendly and welcoming and put me at ease straight away and has done an incredible job with composite bonding on my front teeth - they look amazing she has given me back my confidence, being able to smile again and not be self conscious they look completely natural and I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome! The time and detail she has put into the bonds is second to none, her knowledge and skills in what she does is superb! I felt reassured and confident from the first consultation with her and the team of dental nurses who help her are lovely. Thank you so much!

Review titled Recent visit.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

The treatment I received recently was excellent. Staff on reception were both friendly and efficient. I was apprehensive as the treatment was complicated, my fears were resolved by the surgical team that treated me. They fully explained the procedure, and answered questions, I felt totally relaxed. What a great team. Thanks

Review titled Lost my registration without specific communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2023
On Dec 21st 2021, I received a message from the practice to say that my regular dental check-up is overdue and that I may lose my registration if I do not attend. Note that no deadline was mentioned in the message. On 29th Oct 2022 again, I received the same message. Deadline to call back was not mentioned again. I called approx. 2 months later on 5th Jan 2023 to book an appointment and the staff booked it after checking my registration details. I later got a confirmation message too a day before the appointment. However on the day of the appointment, I got a call to say they have cancelled my appointment and will cancel the registration because of the long gap. This is unfair. They should have gone ahead with the confirmed appointment since: 1)There was no deadline in the message sent on 29th Oct 2)An appointment had been given after checking registration details and confirmed. 3)No specific rules and communication on Registration cancellation. Is around 2 months after getting their most recent message too long to call for an appointment? If yes, after getting a message, what is the deadline for the patient call to avoid losing registration? I neither got an answer to this on the final phone call to the practice nor was there any earlier communication on this. As mentioned to the practice manager too, I agreed that I should have booked in regular check-ups and said would do so in future, but as mentioned earlier, there seems to be no specific rules and communication to a patient about how and when exactly a registration is lost. Hence, as a patient I feel my appointment and registration should not have been cancelled in this case.

Review titled Poor, unethical practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by KForrester - Posted on 24 November 2022
I had an appointment booked for 5pm, I called the practice repeatedly from 4.15pm as I was stuck on the bus and feared being 5 mins late. No one answered, 45 minutes before closing. I even thought I'd got the timing wrong as the practice closes at 5pm,so how could I have an appointment at that time? Also, well no one answering from 4.15pm, I must have made a mistake. I called the day after to find out what was going on and I'm told the dentist won't see me due to too many missed appointments. My other appointments being one missed in 2018 and one in 2019. This is strict bordering on ridiculous. I could accept it if I'd missed the last appointment through anything but it's own shoddy communication and lack of patient care that led to this third "missed appointment". Before this, I'd always recommend the practice and found them to be decent and supportive. Now, if it wasn't for the difficulty in finding and keeping a dental surgery for NHS patients I'd be keen to find somewhere else.
