Review titled Last Minute Cancellations for No Justifiable Reason
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 December 2023
I have had an appointment booked for six months and only the working day before my appointment, it has been cancelled due to 'the dentist currently being overbooked'. I have been advised that I would be contacted when a space becomes available or a cancellation happens. This situation has happened multiple times and an appointment is never re-arranged. The service at this dentist is getting worse over time and prioritises private treatment over NHS appointments at the last minute. Unacceptable practice that needs to be improved.

I spent all day yesterday trying to call to check my appointment was going ahead and heard nothing. I then arrived for my hygenest appointment today to find the building locked and noone in the car park. I waited for 15 minutes in the rain before giving up. Completely unprofessional and a disgrace to the industry

Review titled Repeated cancellation
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 August 2023
I had a emergency appointment booked in May which was cancelled the day before it was due. Just a text sent. Since then I have tried repeatedly to get a appointment each time no appointments are available. At once stage they had no dentist. When I did get through I was told that they were prioritise other patients. As my appointment was cancelled. Since then half my tooth has fallen out, still no one answer's the phone and numerous messages left. I have been with this dentist for 25 years but now I will have to look somewhere else.

Review titled Don’t pay upfront for treatment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 April 2023
I was asked to pay over £600 upfront for a course of treatment. No treatment received or refund and now not returning my calls. I have read so many poor reviews online about this dental practice and sadly my experience seems quite common. Disgusting behaviour. Avoid at all costs.

Review titled Closed?

Turned up today for a 9am appointment. Door locked and no one about. Had no notice of a cancelled appointment. Wondered if the surgery has closed?

Cancellation of appointments is something we try very hard to avoid and apologise if you have had to endure this inconvenience. Cancelling an appointment last minute is something we never would like to do, but your patient journey is our primary concern. If due to staffing shortages we feel we are unable to provide the best quality of care possible then we have no option but to cancel your appointment as a last resort. In the event of a last-minute cancellation our admin team works hard to contact all patients via SMS and voice message to alert them to this change in a timely manner using the latest contact information we have on file. If you were unable to receive these messages prior to arriving at the practice then we do apologise, and are constantly working to improve.

Review titled Worst experience ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2022
Visited today for a simple filling. I was made to feel worthless when I advised I wouldnt be able le to pay nearly £600 today for work that wouldn't be happening for a few weeks. At which point see wipped my glasses off and as good as kicked me out. I definitely will not be returning. Customer service is nonexistent. As weel as no empathy as I was obviously nervous about sitting in the chair

Review titled Good service but long NHS wait lists
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 February 2023
I am an NHS patient at this practice and was given an emergency appointment in order to address severe tooth pain. The dentist carried out a thorough check and took Xrays. I was given meds for the infection and booked in for a check up with a view to further treatment. The dentist was friendly and felt I was given good service. I'm now out of pain and waiting on follow up treatment. My only criticism is that I'm having to wait 10 weeks for the next appointment. My feeling this is down to national NHS wait times, not the individual dentists. Generally happy with the speed I was seen and treatment, thank you !
