  1. Review titled Great Dental Treatment and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Cliff Lancaster - Posted on 23 October 2024

I have had a lot of treatment over the last month or so ,and it all went great! My dentist did some good work and explained all my options and she answered any questions fully. The concentration required for a 2 hr root canal treatment was impressive! No problems with appointment’s ,and reminders. Keep up the good work and see you all soon.

  2. Review titled Cancellation of Pre Booked Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely terrible service. Had the same appointment cancelled by text message twice at late notice. Tried to rebook by phone and absolutely impossible. to get through the queuing system..on hold for 30 minutes plus each time.Complained by e mail and received somne copy and paste job in reply with a promise that they would call me to rearrange. Still waiting. Tried to call again today...I've been number 1 in the queue for over 30 minutes..rubbish service. I don't think they want me as a patient any more. Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with us at Museum Street Dental Practice.. Feedback is important to us, and helps us to improve the service that we provide. We do discuss all feedback received, and reflect on what we could do differently. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at the practice, and you had appointments cancelled, and then had issues contacting us. We are genuinely sorry for the issues you have experienced. There is a lot of pressure on NHS dentistry at the current time, including a recruitment crisis. We have been working hard to recruit new dentists, and have new clinicians joining our team this month. It is sometimes necessary to cancel routine appointments to prioritise urgent needs. We do try our best to avoid rescheduling appointments, however we do also have occasions where a dentist may have a short notice emergency or sudden illness. We did make changes to our telephone system earlier in the year to try and help us manage the huge amount of incoming calls we are receiving, we are receiving hundreds of calls each day. We are aware that further action and improvements are required and this is being currently discussed. We are hoping to put additional measures in place in the near future. Again, we do apologise for the delays you have experienced when contacting us. I would also like to apologise if we did not call you back. We would welcome further feedback and the chance to investigate this further for you. Please email us at museumstreetdentalsurgery@yahoo.com Thank you again for taking the time to provide feedback. Kind Regards

  3. Review titled Constant cancellations

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been trying to have a routine checkup for over 18 months. This practice has cancelled my appointment for tomorrow... I have now been on hold for 45 minutes, stuck at position 4. When you do finally get to speak to someone, there is rarely an apology or explanation.I am quite appalled and disgusted with the service

'Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your experience at Museum Street Dental Practice. We are very sorry to hear that you have not had a positive experience with us. Currently, there is a national shortage of NHS dentists and we are working hard to increase the provision of NHS appointments as much as possible. We are currently in the process of recruiting more dentists. It is sometimes necessary for us to reschedule non urgent appointments, to ensure that patients requiring urgent dental care or essential treatment are prioritised. We do understand that this can be frustrating for patients, and we can assure you that we are trying to minimise the rescheduling of routine appointments as much as possible. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If a routine appointment is rescheduled for a later date, we do have emergency provision should a patient experience a dental emergency before their next appointment date. We are currently experiencing a very high volume of calls into the practice, we have made changes to our telephone system to try and help us manage this better, however we are receiving thousands of calls daily. We do apologise for the delays you have experienced when trying to contact us. Feedback is essential to us to help us improve our service, thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your comments. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us directly, which you can do so via email at museumstreetdentalsurgery@yahoo.com and we would welcome further feedback from you. Kind regards Museum Street Dental Practice

  4. Review titled Fabulous practice from reception through to dentist team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kerrie Brettle - Posted on 19 June 2024

I can't speak highly enough of Museum St Dental Practice. The reception team today were warm, friendly & speedy. They work really hard for their patients within a nationally squeezed service. The dental team i had today were great. I had a new post crown & a post crown repair. The dentist team i saw today were friendly & settled my nerves quickly. My treatment was carried out effectively without problems. Highly recommended.

  5. Review titled Abcess

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by DMB - Posted on 08 May 2023

Had an abscess on a lost tooth because it had been overloaded with filling. It was an emergency and I was seen very quickly. I am old so my past experiences with dentists have been scary and left me in a terrible state! The dentist I saw was lovely, and both she and the nurse were sympathetic, calming and very good getting me sorted. I couldn't handle the pain so it was the first time I've trusted a dentist in 20+ years and I'm sooo glad I got her! I'm still in some post pain but I would definitely recommend her! Thank you x

  7. Review titled Superb dental practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by LindaC. - Posted on 07 December 2022

I can’t praise Museum Street dental practice enough. Having been registered with this practice for some years I have always received expert care. This week I had an appointment to have a tooth out. Whilst I had every confidence in my dentist I wasn’t looking forward to the procedure however thanks to the skill, reassurance, and clear explanation of what to expect I had absolutely nothing to worry about. My whole experience was positive from start to finish. For this I am grateful to everyone I had contact with, from the reception team to the dental nurse and dentist who all work together to provide (under extremely busy conditions) a very positive & much needed service.
