Tried to book an appointment... Very disappointed ... says on NHS site practice is accepting NHS patients but when tried to get an appoinment they are at capacity. Misleading, frustrating and just wastes time

Our website does state 'accepting new patients', and I can confirm that we are accepting NHS patients at the practice. However, new patient appointments are offered subject to capacity and are limited in number. Regrettably we cannot offer an NHS space to everyone who contacts us each day requiring care. Attended had treatment left without making a further appointment for six months time came home and phoned up at 4.40 answered told you are number 1 in the queue next thing cut off, I phoned back To be answered by message saying surgery now closed until Monday. time was 4.45pm I left message saying mentioning my experience and was phoned back on Monday morning and given another appointment for six months time. No mention was made of my experience on the previous Friday so I asked what had happened never got told she just said sorry about that. They have a Practice Manager here who runs things so how can they shut down the phone lines just like that? Did the manager sanction this as I thought having a Manager meant only what she said went on not staff do as they like so would like an answer please as opening hours are stated as 9 to 5pm

I visited the hygienist today at Fronks Road surgery, both her and her assistant were very friendly and very gentle whilst working. Like a lot of people dental appointments cause a little anxiety, but this was a positive experience and give me confidence to not worry about hygienist appointments in the future. Well done and thank you.
