  1. Review titled Avoid NHS registration

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kentuky - Posted on 12 June 2024

Bad experience, for all members of my family. With x-ray and I've been told that I don't have a tooth problem but few days later my bridge was unstable because that particular tooth was dead and had multiple infections. When I asked to use private doctor in same dental practice for an emergency with my kid, we've been told to look for another dentist somewhere else. The receptionist was very rude, we've been unregistered in the spot when I raised some issues.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience when visiting our practice. As you have not left any personal details I am unable to find you as a patient at the practice, I am therefore unable to look into these concerns and provide a response to your review. If you could therefore contact the practice and ask to speak with the practice manager they will be able to assist with your issue. Kind regards, Julie - mydentist Patient Services Team Leader

  2. Review titled Great for Phobic Patients!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Laura S. - Posted on 15 December 2023

I have decent anxiety surrounding dentists due to a past negative experience, and upon mentioning this the staff at this Practice were wonderful! The receptionists were so cheerful and reassuring, and my dentist in particular told me exactly what she was doing and allowed me to raise my hand to pause things if I needed. It's left me feeling much more confident about going regularly after avoiding going for years. Cannot recommend enough!

  3. Review titled Disappointing Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Been registered here for over 6 years. Just called to book in an appointment and was informed that my NHS dentist has gone private and due to workload I am unable to see their other NHS dentist. Was told that my options are to 1) Pay £50 to see my old dentist as a private customer or 2) call back towards the end of the year to see if they've managed to hire a new NHS dentist (it's July...). The news was unexpected, so I asked what my options were and was told in a very kurt manner that 'I've already told you your options'. I know they must me under a lot of stress due to workload and the number of people they're having to turn away, but I was a little shocked about how they've chosen to deliver this information. Also surprised that I've only been informed that I effectively no longer have an NHS dentist when I've called to make an appointment (i.e. at the point of need). Surely my dentist going private is something that was known in advance so should have been communicated to his patients?

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, as this practice is already at maximum capacity for NHS patients, they are currently unable to offer you an NHS place. In some practices where we have no NHS appointment capacity, we do have alternative private options for patients to access dentistry, outside of the practices NHS contractual obligations. We will always offer patients this option as an alternative, so our patients can make an informed choice on their dental care. Kind Regards Julie Wood - {my}dentist Patient Services Team Leader
